    In my head--- UF
    yes. yes it is.

This is a football version of The Falklands War, but FSU may be in the role of Argentina

Noles and clemson are gone at a discount

Would the SEC make a play

The question is not whether the ACC is going to lose FSU and Clemson, the question is can FSU and Clemson leave the ACC fast enough to remain relevant.

FSU has been pushing for a redistribution of TV funding with them getting a better formulaic share. Would be nice to add NC and Virginia to the conference.

Don’t think Carolina isn’t going anywhere without Duke, unless things become really desperate.

Poor FSU. I almost feel bad for them.

If only they had been afforded the opportunity to join a real conference….

They had the opportunity to join the SEC but Bowden killed that. He said it was easier to get FSU to Championships in the ACC.

    And he was right.
The flip side of that is that it was short term gratification. The long term result is they are members of a mediocre (being generous) football conference that struggles financially and is in the shadows of the SEC.

Or twice per day in this case. There already is an earlier thread today on this. Mods should merge.

Would UF have actually voted for them to join?

I've read they keep the contract at the acc office or somewhere like that and can't leave there so it's not subject to any freedom of information act type stuff (though I find it hard to believe the schools don't have a copy), but if true it makes me wonder that if they're protecting it that much maybe it's not as airtight as rumored

Does it have to be unanimous? Back then there was no threat of clemson or louisville joining to south carolina and kentucky so we probably wouldn't have had the alleged unwritten agreement to keep them out and might have been out voted

UF was the one who kept sponsoring them up for membership.

Hard to believe parties to the agreement don't have a copy of the agreement itself. I've never heard of that. In fact, they're often signed in multiple originals. Another weird ACC thing I guess. LOL! :)

I understand things are not going this way but I would enjoy a smaller ACC.
Get rid of Pitt, Louisville, BC, Syracuse and others and bring it back to the South Atlantic region.
A real conference- not an amalgamation.

I'm in the minority but I would also love a smaller SEC, but that's not happening...
    Maybe the smaller ACC will.
