His pitching seems to be improving which will be crucial as we are facing post season ball. I have searched but have not found the name of the award the NCAA gives to the best pitcher/hitter in the country. Do any of you know it? I'd love for him to get it. What a phenom he is. Let's enjoy him fully while we have him. One draft projection for him next year has him as the overall number one pick. Spectacular. One writer gushed that he is "the best prospect to come out of college in years." One last note. His last name is Caglionone yet when pronounced it's Caglione. What's up there?
I think, not 100% sure, but the correct pronunciation of that name, in Italian, would have a silent "g". So it would start as "Cal" then "lee-oh-nee".
When I asked my 27 year old son to name celebs known only by their first names he came up with Shaq, LeBron and surprisingly Wilt who was WAY before his time. Funny that they were all basketball players and didn't name Steph. He didn't come up with Oprah either. LOL.
