This! That said…Florida is not part of the equation. The dems have the electoral college under wraps. It stinks for the country. But Florida is not part of the issue. This is big city voter dumps in key states. The pubs will lose the presidential in 2024 imo regardless of who is on the ticket. Ironically the problem goes back to Florida in gore v bush. But Florida has done a decent job to fix the problems. Granted I personally would not allow as much early voting as we do. I am a make your vote mean something and show up for what you believe in the day it matters person. I want everyone to vote. Make the presidential a “holiday” polls opened 24 hours. If your employer forces you to work all 24 hours of that day (you are on a serving in the military/oil rig/overseas/etc)…mail in like it use to be. But things are far worse today compared to 2000 when it comes to voting as a whole.

Well you know that’s just me. I believe in all sorts of things like life, the pursuit of happiness, liberty and justice for all. Crazy stuff like that. Maybe if I hated our country enough I’d vote for some twice impeached, federally indicted, sex offender, has-been game show host for president while cheering an insurrection, but that’s not me.

Women and young people are going to vote with a vengeance. If Republicans thought this abortion thing was simply going to blow over, they have made the worst miscalculation in political history. They managed to hit women with a full roundhouse right with Dobbs and they are following it up with daily gut punches over shortening time periods, restricting medications, making the death penalty available, restricting travel, nominating a sexual abuser of women as their candidate and every other asinine thing they are trying to pull off. Trump will have his core MAGA nation and they will be fired up, but he will never see an electorate this angry.
Now, overlay this with a population map of the US. Lots of open red spaced, and a lot more people living in blue areas. Thankfully, unpopulated land doesn't get a vote in elections.
