It is indeed confusing. I can only guess the anti vaccine/anti mask/anti do anything crowd has been in their disinformation bubble so long that they somehow think they have been proven right, and everybody will understand their nonsensical message when they put out stuff like this.

What you are saying is not a pro vax argument. It is fact. Yes, at this point, the vaccines only have a modest effect at reducing infection spread, but still do provide robust protection against severe disease.

The thing is the disease and situation have evolved. In early 2021 the vaccine was very effective at preventing infection, at least for a few months. Then in the summer with Delta its efficacy against infection decreased, but was still significant. By the time 2022 came around with Omicron infection prevention as pretty modest and short lived. In all of these cases, the infection protection wanes between 3-6 months, as the infection protection is mostly a vaccine antibody response.

What has remained true the entire time is the shots are very effective against severe disease. The severe disease protection lasts well beyond 6 months, perhaps a year, or even longer.

If you are citing the fact as a reason for someone to get the shot then I, personally, would call that pro-vax argument but, if you want to call it a fact rather than an argument then so be it.

From your fact, the benefit seems to be primarily for the vaccine recipient. Is that correct?

The relative efficacy of the vaccines at various stages is fact.

At the point all of those videos were made, the vaccine benefited both the recipient, and others around them due to reduced spread. Now, 16 months later, the benefit is primarily to the recipient, and the benefits of others due to less spread is marginal. At this point, now, you can fairly say a decision not to get vaxxed is a personal one. 18 months ago that was mostly not the case, and 24 months ago it was definitely not the case.

At this point, between the vax boosters and Paxlovid the protection against severe disease is very high. So now if dumb asses refuse to get the vaccine, it’s mostly on them.

Ok, I appreciate you taking the time to answer those questions. The only thing I'm going to say is that, in general, I don't think anyone is a "dumb ass" for their position on this issue.

Here's an article from CNN dated April 1, 2020 The timetable for a coronavirus vaccine is 18 months. Experts say that's risky | CNN
According to the article "the experts" say that pushing out a vaccine in 18 months is risky. You're calling people dumb asses for refusing a vaccine that was pushed out in less than 12.

And 24 months ago would just been month 13 from the date of the article.

For those that wanted to rationalize not getting one, you can always come up with reasons and excuses. What does an article in April 2020 have to do with the actual vaccines rolled out. The vaccine development was truly remarkable, and the information to understand why is out there, for those that are interested. There were the initial tests that showed it was very safe. By late spring 2021 hundreds of millions of doses had been administered, so the vaccine risks, and there are always risks, were well known and pretty rare.

I can’t speak to the exact motivations of every person who didn’t get it. But it is pretty clear that for a sizable chunk of those people it was political. It’s the garbage they read or watch. Or the intransigence that if libs say I should do it I won’t do it!!!!

To be clear many of these people are smart people otherwise, but chose to be willfully ignorant on this particular issue (as well as many others).

You mean what does the historical track record of rushed vaccines have to do with a rushed vaccine?

Political? Who were the big name Republicans who were anti-vax in May of 2021? Trump? Desantis? Ben Shapiro? RFK Jr? (Oops, he's actually a lib.)

My remembrance is that most of the people refusing the shot back then simply considered it a poor risk vs reward and that was even before it was known that the effects wore off in less than a year.

Only if the unvaccinated were themselves.
I remind you Omicron did not originate in the US so even if every man woman and child was vaccinated in the US it would still have had effect here.

At this point in the on going investigation into these phony vaccines... We The People have come to a decision in the Covid-19 "vaccines" and the treatment of those good people around that world that refused this kill shot. This PLANdemic was invented by BIG PHARMA and their ilk to make money for themselves and their investors all the while appeasing certain billionaires that are fighting tooth and nail for depopulation at all cost...many bad, wealthy actors, are involved in this mass murder plot.

The list of different groups of people at the top of the food chain involved is staggering. I am still compiling a list of those involved and to what end? There were many different reasons for these people to get involved in this mass murder plot. And for many selfish reasons to conspire... complicit to end many innocent lives.

Definitely not back in 2021. Considering there are still some here who think you need to take the shot and ignore natural immunity. I am not sure.

Oh hey, so we have more evidence of the harm done to forcing schools to be closed. Don't worry, the grifter will be along to say "At the time we didn't know" garbage. We DID know, but the CDC ignored the data and then got in bed with the Teachers Unions. Embarrassing all around. And the kids are the ones suffering.

School avoidance becomes crisis after COVID

Though it’s unclear how many students are affected, mental health experts agree the problem has gotten significantly worse since the COVID-19 pandemic. As schools began reintegrating in-person learning, many students didn’t return to the classroom.

In some cases, the pandemic halted the progress of many school avoidant students who were making a slow reentry. In other cases, experts said, the pandemic accelerated school refusal.

“We saw a larger shift in kids who were on the cusp before and then after COVID started refusing completely,” said Krystina Dawson, a school psychologist and mental health supervisor for Trumbull Public School District in Connecticut. “Once the pandemic hit and we introduced remote learning, kids got comfortable in their homes.”

Read yesterday that in Nebraska 1 in 4 students have not returned to school.

Therein lies the problem - and Sweden’s Tegnall warned against this - when you foment upheaval, how do you convince people to return to normal ?

Sweden was the tallest midget in the room. It closed high schools and universities. It banned large gatherings. It paid people to work from home and also encouraged people to take country vacations. It also locked down nursing homes which where Sweden saw most of its excess mortality due to neglect and isolation.

I saw the video feeds from Sweden on YouTube. That may have closed for maybe two weeks, if that, but they were open far earlier than any western nation... especially in Europe. But they did NOT force their people to take the "vaccine" that I remember seeing.

And they are not to only people that say they stayed open. It took DeSantis many weeks if not moths to finally force municipalities that they 'should' open up. I don't remember when or if he ever mandated it.

So, yes, there are some people taking a bow when they revise their past actions/stance on this PLANdemeic.
