Stanford's #1 pitcher leads D1 in ERA at 0.52 and averages nearly 12 K's per game. Big test for our hitters.

She is also a freshman She was highly recruited but does not have as good of credentials as Florida's incoming freshman A Brown and K Rothrock.

The thing is that she's proven herself as a freshmen; ours haven't made it to campus yet. Truly hope they're as good as advertised and get the coaching they need to develop. We might not even see the Stanford freshman in our game anyway (if we meet them). We need to beat Loyola Marymount first. Stanford could use the freshman in their opening game and have their #2 to face us. Their team ERA is 1.61 and the pitcher who has thrown the most for them is a senior with a 1.85 ERA. Maybe the fact that those west coast teams haven't faced Hightower or Trlicek could be an advantage for us, but our offense has struggled most of the year against really good pitchers. I like playing new teams and hope they can make a run, though. Will keep pulling for them until we make that last out.

If you think Alabama was wrong at #5 what about Oklahoma State. They are #6 and lost 11 out of their 13 games. So much for what have you done for me lately.

Agree. They didn't play well down the stretch. Before that 2-11 stretch, though, they were 39-3 and ranked #3. They are ranked #12 in the D1 rankings, but #5 still in RPI and #11 SOS, plus they had a winning record against Top 25 teams. They beat FSU 2 out of 3. But got swept by Texas & Oklahoma late. They keep saying that "whole body of work", but normally they do look at how teams are playing late in the season.

    FSU with the toughest
    Alabama with the easiest
Ironically, I have to pick both bama and FSU being upset by a lower seed.
    Stanford got screwed.

Trying to stay positive, but with this many games in 3 days and our limited pitching staff it doesn't look very encouraging.

    Vols easiest

    AU screwed..;)

I see a handfull of potential host losing.. LSU, Stanf, Bama if no Fouts,, but prob say Utah if picking 1.

Cant wait to hear what Tim has to say about this regional. Last post game interview ( vs. Tennessee in SEC Tournament) he didn't sound too optimistic about the team advancing.

yep, winner gets chance to shock the world.

I will say the only way OU will lose is to be shutdown offensively. The aces for the 2 Tigers have as good as chance as anyone. Albeit minimal. CSF will probably win it..lol

Not hosting means Penta 3 straight games(no losses) for any hope.. could of at least sat her gm 1 as the 1 seed.

Only thing worse than being the 16 across from OU, is being the 17 across from OU ..lol
