(SB) Selection show Sunday Thread

The only 1 of the Top 8 that I don't understand is Alabama. They're ranked #16 in the latest D1 poll, #12 in RPI. #3 SOS obviously helps, but they had a losing record against Top 15 teams, plus lost 3 games to teams ranked 51-200.

 

If Fouts can't go, they're just an average team, IMO.

 

Auburn got screwed. Finished ahead of Alabama in SEC and beat them 2 out of 3.

 

Florida going to Stanford. Play Loyola Marymount in their first game.

 

Not a fan…harder and later times most likely to watch. I’m assuming games won’t be on sec network plus.

 

Auburn's RPI is lower than Florida's at #23, SOS #24, 6-10 vs. Top 25 teams. I have no problem with Bama getting a Top 16 seed, but they don't deserve a Top 8 seed for sure.

 

I believe we could play 8 seed Duke if both advance in Super Regional

 

So much for the 400 mile rule!

If these girls play well, they are capable of beating Stanford and Duke. If that happens unfortunately they would get Oklahoma in the first game of WCWs

 

They're definitely rewarding SOS. Ole Miss RPI is only 35 and they're 6-17 vs. Top 25 teams, but SOS is #6.

 

Clemson will be the sacrificial lamb if they make it out of their regional. Or maybe Auburn takes them down and gets that honor

 

Their ace has 221 k's-our entire staff has 225.

 

Miss. St. didn't get in. I don't think Missouri did either. Auburn can easily win the Clemson Regional, but then would face Oklahoma in the Supers. Yeah, they got screwed.

 

At that point they’d be playing with house money

 

Missouri is in Oklahoma regional I believe

 

Maybe they'll save her for Stanford.
