I have a couple of questions for former pitchers and coaches on this board.
    1. How long of a delay does it take for the coaches to scratch their starting pitchers?
    2. Since Waldrep only threw 10 pitches and Earl only 5, does that factor in, considering the warm-up routines both went through prior to the game?
    3. If Sully decides not to bring Waldrep back out tonight, would it be OK for him to start tomorrow's game and let Jac take the mound when play resumes tonight?

I would seriously like informed answers.

Who makes the decision on start times? Since this wasn't nationally televised, why wouldn't you move game to 2pm? If Sully was mad, is this on our administration?

Third load of dry clay coming in. Still some puddling in the infield. Tarp is still on the mound but it must be okay and waiting until the last minute.

Looks like the tarp is getting stretched out so they can finally fold it up and put it away. I'm guessing baseball in 30 to 40 minutes.

Longer than 45 minutes makes it hard to regain where you were and how your body will recover from a restart. You can do some stretching, throwing, and stationary bike work to help yourself stay ready but as @shane4three mentioned doing those things doesn’t necessarily keep you in the rhythm you were in.

    Bottom line—it’s a crapshoot.

We all did however witness “11” the “Human Rain Delay” after 5 innings and a 2 1/2hr rain delay put his starter back in just a few years ago.

I just logged in for an update and I was really surprised to read about the delay. I live 2 miles or so due north of the stadium. We’ve had dark clouds mixed with blue skies, but no rain or thunder

I remember. I think that is when even Nole fans began to question his decision making.

I am about 15 miles South of the stadium and it has been sunny here with a few clouds but no thunder or rain.

Slater first one out warming on the field. Looked like he had a sense of urgency. Anyone else on field is just stretching.

Interesting bit of tid, a rainbow is visible to the east over the Gators bullpen and nowhere near the Commodores. Just sayin.....
