I was very pleased to know that I saw Sproat pitch a wonderful outing in his first SEC home game this season (Alabama) and again watched Sproat pitch another great outing in his last SEC home game. Both games were outstanding and happy for him coming thru in the clutch. I was telling myself going up to the game that this game was a must win for the series because I didn't like our matchups coming up. We needed this momentum even if the Vandy starter was scratched. I never expected the momentum to come from Ocala's own Deric Fabian. Perhaps our shortstop position might be locked in already for next year if he wants it. Well the table is set for Waldrep on Saturday to come thru with one of his best games if the umpires will let him pitch. Vandy started aggressive against Sproat looking for fastballs early but he made the adjustment before the end of the 1st inning with his change up and it became a different story for this game. Unknown if Vandy is aggressive again with Waldrep having to change up his delivery but watch for that answer in the first three batters.
The only thing I like about the Auburn logo is the shades of orange and blue. Pretty much the same as the Illinois orange and blue and I am a two time alum (MS and PhD). My wife is also an Illini (BS) but a two time Gator (MS and JD). I figure that I get to be an honorary Gator having taught here for 35 years until I retired and came back three times to teach a few classes.
In the past couple of decades I've noticed that their "burnt orange" is getting less and lees burnt looking. It's starting to cut into our orange hue... As for our blue, it's getting too milky again. We need that royal solid blue we used to have.
Just after the Gators were frustrating me with their performance at A&M, they come out and destroy the #3 team.
The Chicago Bears colors are actually blue and orange but that blue is almost black. I like that a lot.
