Apparently TIAA Bank Stadium in Jacksonville will be undergoing renovations in 25 & 26 and will not be available. If so, has there been any discussions about where the FL-GA game will be played? I would imagine they’re likely to be home/home on campus games again. I throughly enjoyed attending the last two.. The Jags will also need a new home stadium for 2yrs, hello London? Jaguars may be forced out of home stadium for two years as TIAA Bank Field undergoes renovations
If it's home & home again I sure hope it works out for us like last time they did it. I was at the game in Athens. What a great day! And FWIW, the Ga fans were totally cool with us. Even bought us shots of Jaeger at one of the bars after the game. I think all those years of Ray Goff just neutered all of them.
Crazy that the renovations will shut the stadium down for so long! I wonder how the owners can afford this? You would think they would find a way to limit the length and scope of construction so as to not render their asset worthless for an extended period of time.
When Soldier field was under renovation/construction, the Bears played in Champaign. I lived there during that time. It was a fun experience!
UGA coach trying to parlay this news into potentially making a permanent home and home situation for recruiting and blah blah...Gators coming in at their weakest point into this game for negotiations. 2025-2026 is an eternity in this sport and given our recent history, if things don't fall just right for CBN this year and next we may be onto another coach.
On the front page: Florida-Georgia game will soon move for two years, but then what will happen? | GatorCountry.com * please no rotating of neutral sites either going forward.
London Jaguars? That would never work and the NFLPA would never sign off of that. They'd require a bye week after every away game
https://www.si.com/college/florida/...acksonville-jaguars-the-swamp-tiaa-bank-field The Jags playing in Gainesville for a year or two would cement ties between the two cities and more importantly high school players who follow the Jags.
I really don’t really like going to Jacksonville anyway . I like the trip to the Swamp much better. I do like the tradition though. I’m mixed on this.
If Georgia doesn't want to play in Jacksonville anymore then it's a signal they want to end the series with Florida, odd, but apparently their choice.
I’ve been going off an on since 1958 and I have said my favorite times are Christmas, family vacation and Florida/Georgia football game: and not necessarily in that order. However, times change and so do attitudes.
Can’t mess with the tradition of the rivalry. The game still needs to stay in Jacksonville and they do whatever they need to do while they renovate. Then back to JAX
Agree the game should stay in Jax and if not go to home and home. Anyone know what the renovation seating capacity plan is? The current trend is downsizing and that would not be good for the UF-Uga game
Curious @The_RH_Factor , what about preserving college football’s greatest rivalry warrants a ‘come on man’?
