What actually stopped a man with bad intentions from entering a women's restroom 10 or 20 years ago?

If your daughter is worried about predators in women's restrooms, that's obviously a reasonable and legitimate fear for any woman. The obvious and sad fact is that a small percentage of human beings are absolutely willing to prey upon others to get something they want (robbery, rape, murder, etc.). But demonizing trans people, or advocating for less equality for trans people, seems a less effective way to help your daughter manage those fears compared to some self defense training (something all women should have, IMO).

 

Is it possible that 2 things can be true?

1. There are those who have true gender dysphoria
2. There are those who have other mental illness who just think they are trans, or in some cases are making it up.

By the same token your recent turn of seemingly attacking all trans people is problematic. It’s one thing to care about it, either way, it’s another to be obsessed with it.

 

Ok, because I was addressing the OP, that says "something has to be done about shit".. as if it's an actual problem that only affects trans people...

 

So this guy went to prison for raping a girl. (he only served two years???) He got out and just a few weeks later raped another woman. A horrible crime committed by scumbag who, as I said, should serve a long prison sentence.
Does the fact that he called himself a woman during the few weeks he was out of prison really affect much in this case?

 

Owning a gun in and of itself doesn't infringe upon anyone else's freedom. It's using that gun that can. And as as per the post I was replying to, he seemed concerned about enabling bad people to do bad things. I think you knew what I was getting at, but there yah go.

The title should be changed to MAN becomes WOMAN...a 24 year old is not a boy. It is obvious the OP is trying to connect this to trans kids. The OP is disturbed and has a long history of being a bigot and pushes the envelope of being a racist.
