This case stems from another case back in 2019 where she claimed defamation of character against Trump. So, this whole new law stems from NY wanting to charge Trump with something and this is the result of the state of New York and this woman finding a way to payback President Trump. It's dirty in a way that you probably never even thought of.

Go back a searcher her interviews on cable news. She never once claimed rape.

What I have gathered, from all the articles I've read, is they once had consensual sex and then Trump kind of recently maybe in 2019 said something publicly about her "not being his type" and she felt disrespected and sued Trump for defamation of character. Nothing happened so the state/city stepped in to change their laws for a different libel charge. It's a civil suit, but it's NOT A CRIMINAL CHARGE IN A COURT OF LAW.

And yet another liar steps forward to slander our wonderfully pious ex-President. This one was a republican staffer in the White House.

'It Was Really Bad': Ex-Trump White House Press Secretary Details Harassment

Stephanie Grisham, who served as White House press secretary under Donald Trump, said she witnessed the then-president’s sexual harassment firsthand.

She told CNN that she had to try to protect one staffer in particular that Trump would request accompany him on trips.

“He one time had one of my other deputies bring her back so that they could look at her ass, is what he said to him,” she said. “I sat down and talked to her at one point, asked her if she was uncomfortable. I tried everything I could to ensure she was never alone with him.”

    In my head--- UF
He pinned her against a wall, forcibly pulled away her clothing, jammed his fingers in her private parts against her will. She says he did indeed put his erect pen1s in her body.

You think that’s the only time he has ever done that? Even if only once the jury found him guilty of sexual abuse.

In Moscow they probably have her pay Trump for lying about being raped by him being you know, it defamed him.
Is everyone on with an individual being able to sue someone for something that allegedly happened 23 years ago (she first came out in 2019) without any evidence they were ever in the same building?

She told two people. Never wrote it down herself until 2019.
I’ll never say it didn’t happen, but it seems more like a way to get money.

I wonder when Tara Reade gets to sue Biden. Her claims are almost virtually identical. At least we know for a fact Reade worked along Biden.

If her testimony plus that of two friends and family she told many years ago is all she needs, Biden should be toast.

    Right?

Well if Biden and Trump would go away, it could be a good thing. But alas….

Hmm... What huge line are you describing? Emotional trauma? Physical trauma? Social acceptance? Motivation? Does doing one and not the other change his (un)fitness to lead?

If you already knew he was a sexual predator who physically abuses women, did you vote for him? Did you try to make others aware of what you knew and attempt to persuade them not to support Trump? Or did you know and decide it didn't matter to you?

Cons: the party of Law and Order...... until it's inconvenient. A unanimous jury finds Trump sexually assaulted the woman, but it was in NY, it was years ago, it was a crooked judge, it was blah, blah, blah. Fact is it WAS actually what Trump bragged about on his tape. She proved in court that what he bragged about, actually happened to her.

That's her allegations, that's not necessarily what happened. This is NOT legal advice, I'm no lawyer, I'm no expert, but the standard to satisfy a civil battery claim is pretty low.

Lawyers, correct me if I'm wrong but I believe all it would've taken for her to recover is proving that it was more likely than not that Trump intentionally and offensively touched her. That can be anything from an unwanted hug, an attempt at a kiss, to sodomizing her.

I know she was awarded a lot of money, but the fact that she was awarded more for the defamation than the battery should tell us something should it not?

The jury could've believed even if 1% of her story is true, Trump still battered her. It may have come down to a battle of credibility as well as Trump has tendency to damage his own credibility.

We don't know he's a sexual predator even with this verdict.

All we know is that he's man who is indecent towards women, highly aggressive in his sexual pursuits of women, who has a tendency to act inappropriately.

All really bad things as far as character is concerned. But that is not the same as a predator or a rapist. I'd say it's more comparable to an ungentlemanly frat bro who needs an awfully strong and blunt signal to get the hint that the girl isn't interested in him. Every girl who partied in college knew a guy like that and every guy who partied in college knew a jerk like that.

Is it possible he's a rapist? Yes. But I'm not going to take allegations at their word. Sexual offenses like this are really a spectrum to me and it's awfully easy to color a picture in either direction and make "a guy getting turned down" look like "sexual assault" and make "sexual assault" look like a "guy getting turned down." And if you're not the type to *clears throat* take a woman out to dinner first, you're more likely to find yourself in these ambiguous situations where you might get lucky or you might get the old "you're a pig *slap in the face.*" And you have nobody to blame but yourself if you get the latter.

To be clear... what part of a trial that concludes with a unanimous verdict of sexual battery/assault after hearing witnesses and sworn testimony possibly leaves someone to surmise " All we know is that he's man who is indecent towards women, highly aggressive in his sexual pursuits of women, who has a tendency to act inappropriately." " But I'm not going to take allegations at their word."

According to the MAGATs on this thread, you haven't really been raped if someone unwantedly puts only a finger inside your private parts. Even like in this case where the finger is likely bigger than the penis could ever hope to be.

I'm glad you are not letting his own words, the decision of a jury that weighed the evidence, the statements of his former press secretary and the testimony of 18 other women influence your opinion. No need to consider the preponderance of evidence, amirite?

"lockerroom talk", "ungentlemanly frat bro", "dirty old man", "rejected lothario", the list goes on. The self-denigrating defenses in support of a figure on one's team is amazing.

What surprised about the verdict form under the battery claim was "sexual abuse" could be found if "willfully or wantonly negligent....", etc. Seems odd to me to speak of willful negligence for a battery/sexual abuse claim.

I'm kinda curious. Back when I was 16 and in the back seat of my Ford Falcon at the drive in movie with that cute girl that sat behind me in Algebra. While we were hugging and cuddling and making out and she had her hand rubbing my leg and all of a sudden I slipped my hand up her mini skirt to her crotch and she pushed it away. Was that unwanted touching? Would it have been if I was in New York? How about if my name was Trump?
