It’s a good idea, but I would ban the public carry of guns and have a 5 year sentence for the first offense. That should eliminate most guns from the streets.

 

Yeah, I just read through that and he was a sick POS. Apparently started down this road back in HS. Hated diversity, black people , Jews, PC people among other hates. Said the Nashville shooter had a decent body count for a female. Announced his intentions online.

 

Because the system is designed for people like this to slip through so that it is convenient for gun owners. It isn't really designed to catch people like this. Again, we could make a psych exam a pre-requisite for gun ownership. We choose not to do so.

 

He didn’t slip through the system because the system wasn't there. Jimmy Carter made mental health a priority but starting with Reagan dumping the mentally ill out into the streets, republicans continued to cut and reduced mental health care funding.

I’m wondering why he was apparently using a Russian social media site and whether that site or others had a role in his radicalization. Even parts of Twitter seem more and more like the chan and stormfront boards with tons of openly racist and misogynistic memes.

Grown men trolling and bullying people and lashing out at the world. There are some mean women too, but they are less inclined to mass murder. I wonder if there were lots of Muslim posters praising Al Qaeda whether the response would be different. I think so.

This isn’t entirely new but these guys now have broader reach than ever. I fear this is going to get much worse before it gets better.

One of my wife’s fellow employees was at the mall an hour before.
