I think you’re making the same mistake others have made thinking that if someone still gets sick, even if it’s a mild case, then the vaccine is ineffective. That’s not how drugs work. All drugs have degrees of effectiveness depending on each individual. Natural immunity was shown to not be an effective protection against this disease, and in fact those relying on natural immunity were over five times more likely to be reinfected than those who were immunized.

Sure masking and social distancing may have seemed silly to some, but we had to use the tools we had available until we learned more. Further there’s no evidence that masking and social distancing didn’t limit the spread of the disease.

So many people played follow the leader. First Trump said the virus would just go away. How stupid did you have to be to believe that? Then (while holding mass rallies) he said masks just weren't for him. He asked, how could he meet "with dictators" (his favorite people) in the Oval Office while wearing a mask? Then he got Covid but survived. So then he said, See, it's nothing! All this while a million Americans were dying.

Follow and swallow the leader! And people are still doing it, no matter what idiotic things he does and says.

 

Trump had the virus in a box and he let it out!
