So it's a 3 inning fight in the rubber match...

Both teams would probably be better served by a tie, but baseball doesn't have ties.. or crying...

 

Offensive approach concerning. Gotta bunt when giving it to you based on defensive positioning.

 

A slump is an extended period of not hitting it well. So when I said this is not a good time of year to "start slumping", the logical implication is that it will carry into the next few weeks if, in fact, that's what we're doing. 2 or 3 games does not make a slump and until this weekend the bats have been fine.

 

That's kinda the point I'm making though. We're deep enough into the season and his performance has been poor enough that he's just another one of the not so great options. He's just the incumbent.

 

Yep. Injuries and recruiting misses have left us with a staff below the great-to-elite level we’ve become accustomed to (spoiled?).
