That would be my aim....win every remaining series. Maintain a top 5 ranking and a quality national seed. For all their problems that's a really good regular season.

We win 20 SEC games and National Seed is very likely ours.
Anything less and it's iffy. I was looking at other teams outside SEC that are looking strong and Wake is outstanding, albeit ACC. I've watched a couple of their games on ACC channel and they can both pitch and hit and have the look of a team that can go far. They have the best pitching in the country (statistically) and they hit as well as Gators.
If quality pitching is the key to a deep post-season run- keep an eye on USCe and Vols.

Agree, we have to find 2 others that can produce pitching wise. I believe between Fic, Nesbitt, Arroyo, and Tejeda we have 2 but they need innings. Nesbitt has not thrown in a while. When I say we have others all I’m saying is I believe Nesbitt and Fic can give us 1-2 innings. Challenge is- without routine work hard to show anything

Even I would say its optimistic that we get that. Hope springs eternal so you never know but consistency is a big problem for just about all our pitchers. Many of them might be capable but few come thru time and again. Yes they need innings but the end of the season draws close.

Fic has 18 appearances, 2 behind the team lead. I would consider that routine work

What I am hearing in these comments is that our pitching is a concern and may not be of the quality and depth required for a deep post-season run. We can only hope that are top guys get it together in the final weeks. After our weekend guys, the only ones we can feel reasonably confident when on the bump are: Neely and Slater, Fisher and Abner. And with the latter two- it's hit or miss. Tejeda had a very poor outing last night but he is better suited for SP-- next season.
Ficc, Purnell, Nesbitt simply do not inspire confidence vs SEC and post season comp.

Heading to the game today. Our pitching is our big weakness. Really hoping I see a win today. Go Gators

    Since all we have left are SEC games, I looked at how our pitchers have done so far against SEC teams only. Not counting Hartzog, who has a 0.00 ERA in only 1 inning, Tyler Nesbitt has the lowest ERA at 3.38, 5 appearances, 8 innings, 11 hits, 7 K's, 4 BB's and a .324 BA against. Next is Brandon Neely at 3.94 ERA, 10 appearances, 16 innings, 16 hits, 25 K's, 8 BB's and .250 BA against. Ryan Slater's SEC ERA is 5.11, 8 appearances, 12.1 innings, 14 hits, 12 K's, 4 BB's and .280 BA against. Brandon Sproat is at 5.24 ERA, 8 appearances, 46.1 innings, 33 hits, 56 K's, 18 BB's and .196 BA against. Hurston Waldrep is 5.64 ERA, 8 appearances, 44.2 innings, 39 hits, 62 K's, 31 BB's and .238 BA against. Cade Fisher is 6.08 ERA, 8 appearances, 13.1 innings, 16 hits, 17 K's, 5 BB's and .296 BA against. Philip Abner has a 6.55 ERA in 9 appearances, 11 innings, 10 hits, 17 K's, 7 BB's, .233 BA against. Nick Ficarrotta's ERA is 7.56 in 7 appearances, 8.1 innings, 10 hits, 4 K's, 7 BB's and .278 BA against. Jac Caglionone's ERA is 7.99 in 7 appearances, 23.2 innings, 21 hits, 26 K's, 29 BB's and .231 BA against.
Our team ERA in SEC games is 6.24, 196 innings, 186 hits, 237 K's, 131 BB's and .246 BA against.
Overall, pretty bad, especially with a highly regarded staff, two of which are projected as 1st MLB draft picks.

That really quite frankly is horrific. It’s a testament to our hitting that we are where we are.

Their second baseman Bost who hit the home run yesterday was wearing a weighted sweater yesterday while taking batting practice.
