Sully should have never let Waldrep load the bases with the top of the lineup coming to bat. You have to let a fresh arm pitch to the 9 hitter just to try and get some mojo going.
But he will probably get mid week innings ( if we have a game). He’s had a really rough year yet still in front of other guys. Today was a big opportunity with Vandy and SC losing. Some get frustrated with a few guys pitchers on our team that get hit. But at least they throw strikes. Nesbitt, Tejeda, and Arroyo are going to have to contribute more or at least be given opportunities. Sully’s patience with some guys is way thin and others can get pounded and walk guys.
We tend to have several of these games every year on the road. Not sure what happens to the overall lack of focus, lack of emotion. Team seems flat and goes through the motions.
I don't necessarily disagree with you there, but you really need to let somebody record an out and then at least the pressure of the double play ending the inning is on Haas. Coming out of the bullpen to face the top of the lineup with the bases loaded and no outs is a reliever's worst situation.
Really disappointing. I was at the game in Jax against FSU and told my uncle it was his best outing in about a year. Was hoping he had found something so we could put him back in the bullpen rotation.
