Seeing reports of 4-5 fatalities. Two shooters with AR-15s and vests. One shooter killed by police, and one on the run as of now. (EDIT: There was only one shooter, apparently, who was killed by the police. 9 confirmed dead.) Sadly, this has become commonplace in our country.
I don’t think that would do much, considering most of these mass shooters either self terminate or get killed by the police on the crime scene.
This is simply our reality. Even if we could convince the voters to vote out the people who are weakening gun laws, the Republicans in robes would overturn any significant new gun laws.
Nah only one confirmed dead, probably the suspect. I’m almost out of thoughts and prayers for the year so I’m rationing for either 5+ kids or 10+ adults. Perp in tactical gear and long black rifle. I’d ban both.
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) described the bill as “an unnecessary gimmick to cede more authority to the already highly politicized Biden Department of Justice.” https://thehill.com/homenews/house/...lert-system-following-failed-vote-last-month/
Governor Greg Abbott has issued a statement on the shooting, which can be read below: “Our hearts are with the people of Allen, Texas tonight during this unspeakable tragedy,” said Governor Abbott. “I have been in contact with Mayor Fulk and DPS Director McCraw as well as other state and local leaders and offered the full support of the State of Texas to local officials to ensure all needed assistance and resources are swiftly deployed, including DPS officers, Texas Rangers, and investigative resources.”
I'm both mad and sad. My wife just told me anytime she goes to the store now, she tries to be aware of her surroundings and other people. 7 years ago we witnessed a woman with a hand gun shoot and kill a man. It was traumatic.
More maga congresspeople should wear AR15 pins to show their support of the gun. they also also want to celebrate the gun and it’s literally designed to kill humans… “Republican Rep. Barry Moore of Alabama and three of his fellow GOP House members on Tuesday introduced a bill “To declare an AR-15 ……the National Gun of the United States.” Today I unveiled my bill to make the AR-15 the National Gun of America,” Moore tweeted. “We must send a message that we will meet every attack on any of our constitutional rights.” House Republicans introduce bill to declare AR-15-style assault rifle US 'national gun' Lauren Boebert, George Santos Co-Sponsor Bill To Make AR-15 The ‘National Gun’
List of upcoming arguments and false equivalents incoming: Just a few emotional deaths drive the gun reform narrative Assault hamburgers kill more people through heart disease Could have used a knife or a car to do the same We need more guns Secure the malls Blah blah blah
Been there many times. My brother in law lives in Allen and his family shops there frequently. If you think this can't happen to your family, wake up. It's everywhere.
