Both and neither were outstanding. Did you watch the games. EJ almost beat Bama and I was there.

Similar in skill, no. Really it’s athleticism more than actual skill, but whatever, AR wins hands down. Similar in performance, yes. That’s the rub, and the reason AR gets so much more flack. Nobody ever questioned EJ’s effort.

Hindsight is everything. AR seemed lost at times and if he did that in practice they choose accordingly — without the ability of hindsight. And I’m about the last person defending Mullen now.

I don’t really defend anyone. I see what I see. aR is. Gator and we all want him to win all the super bowls but he just hasn’t shown that yet. He’s maybe the most physically gifted qb ever to play but that doesn’t necessarily translate to playing the position. I see orange and blue all day every day.

3 INTs in the first half makes a good game?

If the Holes weren’t so inept we would have lost.

I got confused and was talking AR at fsu last year. Yep , EJ had plenty of bad games and I’m not really comparing the two. aR is obviously the better player and has way more potential. He has a long way to go to be successfully in the nfl . I just hope they don’t use his legs as a viable way to win games.

Does anyone think CBN will be able to bring in a portal QB of significant value this summer?

EJ at his peak was slightly worse than AR last year. But EJ also had a far more friendly offensive scheme for his skill set. Mullens entire advantage is his offensive ability with dual threat QBs. EJ was pretty bad last year without Mullen.

EJ was pretty bad overall. Even with Mullen after the Alabama game and a few people learn how to scheme him, he was not nearly as effective.

Does anyone think he would try? We got 3 QBs to split snaps and 2 really good ones committed. Isn’t much to sell a kid on, and not enough snaps to go around

We could use a good two year starter to bring us to Lagway’s rs freshman year. Good portal qbs tgat are already proven are going to come with a very high price tag too. Would we pay for that during a rebuild is a good quest.

Sure. But what guarantees do you have that they would be better than what we currently have? And what narrative does it put out that we are trashing two guys before they made 2 starts? Who would want to come here with a hook like that?

If they are good enough to start, you’d think Napier wouldn’t take another. Many top programs, Bama comes to mind , they just took a qb,they take the best talent they can get.

Well, I'm guessing CBN would since he said so.
