A communist bot or just a regular bot? Seriously, though, while I understand that to someone with intellectual limitations I might very well appear to be a computer, I can assure you I am flesh and blood.

For the record, I look forward to the day Dr. Faucci is awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Weren’t decisions to open or close schools made at the state and local level?

Yea they were and Fauci/Randi and crew all pushed hard to close schools. Luckily some smart states like FL ignored them because they refused to look at the data.

Beyond the initial few months of the pandemic, when everyone agreed that it was a good idea to close schools out of caution, when did Fauci push hard to close schools?

He's saying he never closed a single school.
    1. Is he wrong? Were there schools that he personally closed?
    2. Or is he splitting hairs? Did he specifically urge schools across the country to close and stay closed, but not actually close any himself?
    3. Or did he recommend caution in a broader sense?

The Fox story in the first post is pretty adamant in claiming he's trying to rewrite history, but is a little short on examples. I'm sure there are people here who have followed Fauci's words more closely than I have.
    So, anyone?

i was referring to the attitude of the teacher's union president, still getting paid while schools closed down and businesses went under during the height of covid

You might be shocked to learn that school boards, school administrators and teachers' unions work while schools are not in session.

Absolutely. The most the CDC did was to make recommendations and if my recollection is accurate, the agency recommended that schools be closed only during the very early stage of the pandemic specifically during the spring of 2020. In fact, in August 2020, the CDC issued guidelines for the opening of schools, implicit in the issuance of the guidelines was the proposition that schools shouldn't be closed but should be opened subject to the guidelines.
    From August 2020.
CDC updates school guidelines for Covid-19 pandemic | CNN
The update adds more details to existing guidelines that will better inform administrators’ decisions about opening schools and limit risk, according to CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield. Redfield said the updated guidance is a result of discussions the CDC has been having with districts about how to best operate during a pandemic. The updated guidelines emphasize the importance of keeping schools open if possible.

How many teachers are there in the U.S.? All together, there are 4,007,908 teachers in the United States. This includes all K-12 public and private schools, plus adult education and career/technical schools. Teachers account for about 2.5% of the working population.

Ok, and when did Fauci tell Florida not to open the schools?
