Transgender Teachers Leaving FL

Is the overwhelming need for teachers to talk to young students about their sex life a new phenomenon? Don't remember this at all growing up.

 

Florida teachers are quitting period, more than ever and not just the teachers who are the most marginalized.

Florida has 5,294 teacher vacancies, the state education association says, compared with 2,217 vacancies in January 2019 when Gov. Ron DeSantis took office.

Teachers say they are leaving because of low pay and DeSantis' education policies, dubbed the "war on woke."​

And maybe that a good thing. FL was number 7 overall in education when DeSantis took office and now we are #1.

 

Mentioning his husband is not talking about his sex life. Do you discuss your sex life in every conversation that involves your wife? Are you being intentionally obtuse or truly don't understand the situation?

 

It's a topic for those who are fragile and easily triggered such as yourself who can't accept anyone outside your realm actually exists. You're not serious about it, you're serious about punishing those you don't like. We get it. It's what you believe.

Trans people bad. Gay people bad. Blacks bad. Drag queens bad. Brown people bad. Teachers bad. Libbies bad. That's you. It's in every word you type, thread you post in, and rating you give.

And no sense in putting words in my mouth to make yourself feel better. I've never spoken of race in my beliefs, just pointing out your own words. Don't get mad at me for what you say.

Poster misses that these people are not "playing the victim card". The current culture war is concretely turing many people into victims. I understand that Cons don't care as long as they win and stick it to libs ( see the poll data in other thread), but your lack of empathy/caring does not change facts.

Did not answer my question about these teachers nor was this in California. FYI : "Gender identity typically develops in stages: Around age two: Children become conscious of the physical differences between boys and girls. Before their third birthday: Most children can easily label themselves as either a boy or a girl. By age four: Most children have a stable sense of their gender identity." Oh the horror.

The law is don't say gay. Not dont say sex.

 

As a matter of fact, Democrats in the legislature tried to have it amended to sex education in general and that was defeated.

 

Yes, they are playing that card. Otherwise they would just quit and go find a job somewhere else (To listen to you libs anywhere is better to teach in than Florida). Instead they make a show out of it. That is playing the victim card. They are not alone. Millions of people want to put their dumbass lives on social media.

FWIW, I don’t care what consenting adults do in private. The males can put their Willy anywhere they want and the females can let anyone out anything they want into them. I just don’t want to hear or see it anymore than I want to see a guy getting head from a woman across the aisle in a plane( it was dark but I couldn’t see her and something was going up and down under that blanket. I don’t want to see porn on the screen when I sit down on an airplane. Point is; do what you do in private. I want try to stop you as long as you don’t throw it in my face. As far as this goes with teachers; Shut up and do your freaking jobs. Teach the children. Do it the best you can. Get them safely on the bus or car. Then go home and do whatever you want with whomever you want.
