I only enjoy drinking beer that tastes good so it’s been remarkably easy to avoid AB products.

I just support people doing whatever makes them happy as long as they aren't hurting other people.

Want to marry someone of the same gender? Go for it
Want to dress up like the opposite sex? Enjoy
Want to cut off your unit and transition to the opposite gender? I don't get it but whatever makes you happy
Want to go to church and worship the man in the sky every Sunday? Have at it

Among things that get pretty polarizing:

Trans athletes competing in women's sports? Largely an unfair advantage similar to taking steroids in professional sports. It's not really fair to trans athletes that don't have a home but it is what it is
Drag queens reading to kids? So long as it's not being forced without parental permission
Schools having courses on african american or some niche history topic? Make it an elective
Books with controversial subjects? Don't make them mandatory reading and make them available but with parental consent required to check out instead of removing them entirely

I don't know if those views make a liberal or libertarian or something else but I don't get caught up much in labels. My personal opinion, and this is very much a broad generalization, is that rural white people get way too worked up about topics happening outside of their community that have no personal impact on their lives. I don't want to force certain values on anyone but rather just let people do what makes them happy and if that means asking me to refer to them as he/she/they/whatever it's not that big of a deal to me. I'll try but I'll probably mess it up so just don't immediately jump down my throat.

Good post. Thanks for taking the time to write it up.
I rarely see you stand up against the libbies on the board so I lumped you in with them all. Maybe I was mistaken.

I've been boycotting Bud Light since probably 2005 based on how gross it tastes. Way before boycotting them was cool

I'm with you on everything besides this one. If things like European history are regularly taught, I have no problem with other similar courses. But also not something I feel strongly about. .

You're actually right in that I rarely speak up when I think someone on the left goes too far but that's something I should work on as a contributing member to the board. Overall it will make this a better place if people are more even-handed in their criticism.

I cannot imagine a scenario where history is taught in the United States that is not European history, even if it is not explicitly labeled as such.

Earlier I referenced a friend whose son transitioned. He says he feels like he lost a son. This is precisely why he was snowed under …

One factor that hasn't been adequately considered, especially in the context of adolescents, is LGBT activists' endorsement of suicide as a means of protest. When LGBT activists, for example, ask "non-affirming" parents whether they would "rather have a living son or a dead daughter," they suggest that suicide is a legitimate, practically necessary recourse for a child who is not "affirmed" by her parents. Vulnerable children, whether they identify as transgender or not, are prone to internalize and act on that logic, as the AMA report illustrates.

Interesting concept in transgendered cyclists .... "gender doping".

    >>Alison Sydor, a former elite cross-country cyclist, condemned UCI’s existing policy, equating it to permitting performance-enhancing drugs.

“Going from the Male -> Female category (gender doping) in cycling sport I’d argue is no different functionally than doping,” the Canadian Olympic silver medalist tweeted on Monday reacting to the news.<<

Cycling’s ‘Lia Thomas Moment’: Male Athlete Wins Prestigious Race in Women’s Category, Triggering Backlash among Female Athletes (msn.com)

    >>Male transgender-identifying cyclist Austin Killips won the women’s division of the prestigious Tour of the Gila race in New Mexico by nearly a minute-and-a-half on Sunday.

“After a week of nonsense on the internet I’m especially thankful to everyone in the peloton and sport who continue to affirm that Twitter is not real life. I love my peers and competitors and am grateful for every opportunity I get to learn and grow as a person and athlete on course together,” the cyclist wrote in a message on Instagram after the race.<<

    Investors seemingly unworried.

BUD Stock Pops After Earnings. What Bud Light Controversy?

Anheuser-Busch InBev stock closed up 3.5% on Thursday after the company beat first-quarter earnings and revenue estimates as demand for beer remained resilient despite higher prices.

From the market’s reaction, there’s little to worry about from the controversy that has consumed Bud Light following its marketing campaign with transgender social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

They reported 1st quarter results, which was before Bud Light's sales have been reported to have dropped 26%. So you are trying to tie 2 things together that aren't related. Let's see how the 2nd quarter numbers stack up. Also, BUD wouldn't be tripling it's advertising on Bud Light this summer if things were going well. But hey, keep thinking BUD is doing well, the company itself and most others see the facts.

I think this whole deal was Q2, so it may be a bit early to say there's nothing to worry about for AB.

The article is pretty clear about timing of results and controversy, but I said the investors were not worried... as evident by stock price. Cracks me up how many American companies and ideas the conservatives root against. Here is the running list.
