Let’s see ….. what does the OP accomplish -

1. People affiliated with Christian churches can be bad.
2. Therefor Christian churches are filled with bad people
3. Christian churches are bad organizations.
4. Christianity as a whole is bad.
5. As a religion, Christianity is fake.
6. Jesus Christ was a fake and if he ever lived was not the Son of God.
7. If Christ was a fraud, His teachings are untrue.
8. If there is no Son of God, there is no God as Christians try to convince everyone.
9. Since there is no God, there was no Biblical Creation.
20. If there was no Biblical Creation, the only explanation as to the existence of modern man is he evolved from mineral….. which in turn proves matter came from nothing.
21. The universe resulted from the initial singularity.

Okay, what did I leave out? What else does the OP prove?

 

It surely happens a helluva lot more than we realize. For every “teacher bangs a student” in the news there are probably hundreds (thousands?) that aren’t reported at all, let alone create media stories or criminal cases. People joke when there is a hot female teacher “why didn’t that happen when I was in high school”, at my high school there were two (one I could confirm, of course she was technically 23-24 and the boy was 18 so not really illegal, but still hugely inappropriate and if she was hitting up 18 year old sr’s whose to say she wouldn’t be a future predator of sorts to 16 and 17 year olds). I could confirm that one because I knew the boy involved, and that same teacher used to flirt with me too. They even openly dated for a bit after graduation lol. The other one was more of a very strong rumor involving cheerleading coach and football players. Almost cliche. But all the pieces were in place including a divorce.

It’s a different dynamic when it’s a male teacher of course. Different power dynamic. I do think big difference between if this guy did this with a 17 year old vs. 13 year old, but he’s finished either way. If he was in a position of authority over a minor he abused that authority.

No doubt it often happens and is not publicly reported. Only referring to the ones that I’ve seen publicly reported.

And based upon some friends I know they have worked in the system, an underage male that is sexualized as described is still being exploited and will still be psychologically damaged. Still not right, although I agree somewhat about the power differential

 

I’m going to claim I intentionally left 11 through 19 out to prove Christians are not perfect but that would be a lie ….. which proves Christians are sinners, too.

People seem to think we are an advanced, cultured, educated society.

One needs only come to this site or any news media to quickly understand that is far from the case.

 

A good point, and I think the thread title should actually be changed.

The article I found says he and his wife offer extra curricular opportunities and programs, largely for the hundreds of home schooled children around Olive Branch Mississippi. They host the programs at a local church, but the article does not specifically say that he is linked to the church in any official capacity.
