This is one of those weekends that will set some team up for a big finish. There might be some wafting by a few teams. It will be interesting to say the least.
Look folks I don't post here much because I barely understand that baseballs are "sorta" round and bats are............is it wood? or aluminum?? LOL But I'm all Gator, in every sport, so all I will say is I am looking forward to coming here to celebrate the title with ya'll at the conclusion of the CWS.
AU saving their 2 starters(yes all they have..lol) for Sat-Sun Basically conceding game 1. w/ who they are starting(Allsup) v Skenes.. smart play. Bet big on the LSU ML..
Bama closes it out and beats Vanderbilt 11-2. Almost had the run rule with a runner on third in the bottom of the 8th. Vandy used three good pitchers that might make the next two days a little more interesting with their bullpen choices. Bama's starter went 7 innings and only gave up 2 runs. Vanderbilt's loss means Florida moves a half game closer to the SEC lead.
Kentucky off to a good start with SC in Game 2. Kentucky up 1-0 with bases still loaded with 1 out in the bottom of the second. SC pitcher Mahoney has already thrown 55 pitches. Score now 2-0 with 2 outs, 2 men on base.
Some of these afternoon games are worth keeping an eye on. Such as... After 5 Kentucky is up on South Carolina 8-5. After 6 Georgia is up on Tennessee 3-1. After 4 Alabama is tied with Vanderbilt 1-1. .......Keeping my fingers crossed. Edit - UK now up 11-5 after a 3 run homer, going to the 7th
Georgia holds on and beats Tennessee 3-1. Kentucky up 12-6 over South Carolina and threatening for more in the bottom of the 8th. Alabama just went up 2-1 on Vanderbilt on a Mac Guscette homerun in the bottom of the 8th. TY Mac! Edit UK up 14-6 heading to the 9th.
Could have really used at least one win amongst our losses to Bama, Auburn, UGA, UT… not to mention at least one @ SC. A couple more in the win column would’ve been huge in such a brutally competitive conference.
