Huh? This is just incorrect to just throw that out there. Disney starts you off at $18, while Publix starts you off at $11 and Walmart at $15. Those are your top 3 employers in the state in terms of amount of employees. Universal Orlando starts at $17.

It's Publix and Walmart dragging down wages in the state, not Disney or Universal.

LOL, I have one tonight!! I’m on the finance committee and trying to explain the financials for the operating and reserve funds, as well as my full year and 5-year forecasts and expected assessments for 2024, to all of the Yankees is durn near an insurmountable challenge!!

I do get a kick out of some of the questions and complaints to the board. There’s no way I would serve on the board and have to deal with the Karen’s and Kens.

 

What positions at Publix start at the $11/hour? Cashiers, baggers, and deli?

I know several people who were career Publix employees and did quite well. I understand they have some decent post-employment benefits.
