Like I said, if the ball touches your hands, as a highly-recruited player on a prestigious program like University of Florida who plays in the vaunted SEC, you’ve got to come up with that catch. If they’re not able to, then the coaches need to recruit receivers who can make those plays.

That’s because “uncatchable passes thrown” is not a stat, nor has it ever been and nor have I ever seen anyone refer to it unless they’re desperately trying pin the blame on the QB. However, “dropped passes” has always been a stat and for good reason.

Man I’m really splitting hairs here but on a high pass, if a receiver has jumped as high as he’s capable of and extended his arms as far as capable and the ball barely touches a fingertip, that’s a bad pass on the QB. There are passes that a receiver can get a fingertip on but have no way to catch even if NFL level skills

I definitely agree with that scenario and similar scenarios where the QB overthrows, underthrows, or the throws behind his receiver, but for this specific case of Anthony Richardson I don’t believe every pass that one of his intended receivers dropped was due to him throwing a poor pass.

You said it very well. Almost anything is able to be brought up to blame a loss on AR. Several games we won because he was our QB. Some games we lost were halfway competitive because of AR. Heck, without AR’s performance against FSU in 21 we get smoked. Even after EJ had thrown his 3rd interception there were still a few that thought he should not have brought AR in. That’s 3 interceptions in one half.

    They won’t catch h

I get it Shane. It wasn't all on AR for sure. The team was just inconsistent and perplexing. We jump to 6 - 4 with impressive wins over tamu and S Carolina.
And that was the high point of the season.

Our record would have been much prettier with a decent defense and special teams.

But I'm optimistic for the future and really excited about the start of the 24 class. Would love to see the staff tag a couple of 4 star offensive lineman soon, preferably local studs. Don't get me wrong, I like Texas
    to.

    It’s a mixed bag
for sure. He’s not the easiest on receivers and our receivers aren’t great either.
