I hope it wasn’t to visit the natural environment cuz Utah received a #46 ranking in that. Which is weird since it has some of the most iconic outdoor locations from Zion, Bryce Canyon, to all the ski options…
Not sure what this list is, but there is no way in hell Florida is #1 in higher education in absolute terms. In terms of value in public education, UF in particular always rates well because of cheap tuition. It has credibly been near the top when you combine its high ranking (top 5-10ish public university) w/ low cost of attendance. My guess is this is some sort of “value” ranking.
Love how Florida is #1 in something and the THFSG circle jerk manages to turn it into a negative for DeSantis. Too Funny but expected, as soon as I saw that ranking I knew what this thread was heading for.
Mormons and Near Beer? Still a beautiful state. Drove down into Canyonlands camping along Green River and 4-wheeling near Moab a few years ago and it was awesome.
Yeah, despite the lack of diversty (hell, I'm from Maine...) and the crappy beer (now I have a legitimate beef), UT has got to be atop most any list in terms of natural beauty and topographical variety. And this article lists it as #46? lol
You have a point here. Crime in California is concentrated in the big cities, LA, San Fran, etc. Crime in NY is in NYC. Same with the Red States. Crime is concentrated in Austin, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Atlanta, Memphis, wherever. This isn't a Red Blue thing. It is a population density thing. Where the population density is higher there is a higher crime rate. Unless of course you are counting unprosecuted cases of use of meth. Then it might break even.

If you look at crime on a per capita basis, which is usually what these are based on, what you are saying isn’t uniformly true.
You mean Democrat run cities in Red States? That's funny. I live in New Jersey. Someone forgot to tell that to Newark where I worked last year and couldn't wait to get the hell out of.
