Dark Brandion takes his shot a Meat Ball Ron.

WATCH: President Biden Roasts Ron DeSantis With Mickey and Mandate Quips at WHCD

I had a lot of Ron DeSantis jokes ready, but Mickey Mouse beat the hell out of me and got there first,” he said as the crowd roared.

Now look, you can’t be too rough on the guy,” said Biden. “After his reelection as governor he was asked if he had a mandate. He said, ‘hell no, I’m straight, I’m straight.'”

I found the perfect solution for them. If I see negative notifications pop up from a poster I don't know, I check to see their post count, and if they barely or never post, I block them. That solves the problem of my notifications getting spammed with negative reactions.

At least one poster I block can post ratings on my post. I don’t really care; he’s just a useless idiot. I just blocked him so as to see his idiocy, which I don’t. But he can still “rate”

I thought Biden was awesome but I found it interesting Trump was barely mentioned. I’m curious as to the reason why but I doubt fear of Trump had anything to do with it.

Because trump would respond and get several days free press out of it. Smart move actually.

Yeah, it happens to me too. It occurs when you're the last post in the thread, and they click on it. But I ignore it.

Given his stance on gender issues, it's ironic that Ron DeSantis is consistently referred to in CNN closed captions as Rhonda Santos.

No one at CNN seems inclined to fix it. Or maybe closed captions, like artificial intelligence, have a mind of their own.

This is very sad to read:
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2023/04/30/desantis-election-police-arrests-florida/
The fallout came fast when Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s new election police unit charged Peter Washington with voter fraud last summer as part of a crackdown against felons who’d allegedly broken the law by casting a ballot.

The Orlando resident lost his job supervising irrigation projects, and along with it, his family’s health insurance. His wife dropped her virtual classes at Florida International University to help pay their rent. Future plans went out the window. “It knocked me to my knees, if you want to know the truth,” he said.

But not long after, the case against Washington began falling apart. A Ninth Judicial Circuit judge ruled the statewide prosecutor who filed the charges didn’t actually have jurisdiction to do so. Washington’s attorney noted that he had received an official voter identification card in the mail after registering. The case was dismissed in February.
    * * *
For Washington, the lesson of it all is clear: Voting is dangerous. He knows now he can’t vote — unless he applies for and receives clemency — but he’s telling others they should be wary of it, too, even if they don’t have a criminal record. One of his adult children has already decided he won’t be casting a ballot. A friend is doubting it, too. “I told him I wouldn’t advise it,” he said. “Because it’s a trap.”
    ------------------------------------------------------
DeSantis and his repugnant cronies got what they wanted. They made chilled people's democratic rights and made them distrust our electoral system. All they had to do was ruin a few innocent people's lives.

Republican Representative Jeff Holcomb on the Florida House floor: "Our terrorist enemies hate homosexuals more than we do." Saying the quiet part out loud. The face of the woman behind him when she hears him say that has me laughing so hard.

War is hell, right? And when you’re at War, you need to hate your enemy. Florida is training its front line warriors well.

Exactly. It worked as intended. It's just meant to suppress the vote. And now they pass legislation saying that it's completely your responsibility, and that your criminally liable even if you had a good faith belief you were eligible to vote.
