Nice little short stories about fascinating subjects like soup folding, a vengeful curtain rod, and the role of a very bad pair of shoes in the bedroom.
Go to more comedy shows. They’re pretty much all like that. Comedy works when it makes you uncomfortable.
I think I saw them in a recent Netflix show. I wonder how much of their show was newer than last years Netflix show.
It was very much the same as the Netflix show. Live is always better and the Netflix special didn’t include some of the spicy stuff.
I saw Short several years ago and his show was excellent. For grins, I would love to see Eddie Murphy, Dice Clay, and Lisa Lampanelli get back to getting after people. Too bad Kinison isn’t around to help them out. The Woke’s collective head would explode as they wouldn’t be able to figure out who to “fight” for.
wow - that’s a warped view of this world, but certainly understandable. 99% of people are simply trying to get along, enjoy their family, and have a peaceful life. Your view is understandable because the information presented to us (and often what is NOT presented to us) does a great job in separating “us from them.” Does such a group as you describe exist? Sure - just as there are haters on the other side who see nothing but “evil” in those with whom they disagree. My conservative friends don’t hate any group. They do hate being told they are evil, ignorant and hate-filled simply because they don’t agree with the “trend de jour” nor want an increasingly larger Federal government to “fight” for them.
In an understandable view because right-wingers express their hatred and contempt of LBGT every day. All they talk about is drag queens and trans people nowadays, starting with your governor. They think that's an issue that will help them win elections. They are wrong.
I think you're making a huge mountain out of a tiny molehill. I just don't know why. The fact is these snowflakes who make a career out of being offended by every little thing and are self- righteous about it are a miniscule minority. For those people, it's not about their political party, but their emotional makeup. My points: quit making it a "libbie" thing, and stop letting a very small minority rile you up.
I do not think making fun of something that is often very difficult for people, "introduces human-ness". The fact that you "fear" other people trying to figure out who they are and how to live their lives is definitely a YOU problem. If making fun of those people is what you need to feel better about yourself, maybe you need help.
I agree with him and have a sense of humor and love to laugh, even at myself.....and at the laughability of some people's positions, be it those of the woke crowd or of the anti-woke crowd taking themselves too damn seriously.
Given technology’s ability to “give you want you want” I have no doubt that your news feed is filled with constant stories about right-wingers expressing their hatred and contempt for LBGT every day. Media tells us stuff; and, often media does NOT tell us stuff. One idiot (and I agree with you here) spouts off about something and there is material for months: What is your reaction to Deputy Doodlehead saying LBGT people should not vote in elections? Do you agree with Deputy Doodlehead’s characterization of LBGT people as unamerican? Did you know Deputy Doodlehead donated and supported Republican Governor ___________ in her most recent election? Republican Governor, why do you accept money from known white supremacist Deputy Doodlehead? On and on and on. Sadly, we get the stuff we click on and the feedback loop is ongoing. So, one or two stories (real or imagined) and the subsequent fallout from the original stories makes us think this is ongoing, pervasive and we need to fight back!!! Guess what the other side is listening to and thinking? In the mirror they’re doing the same thing. THFSG is an example of it - there are plenty more. The opportunity is for a national person of substance to recognize this and leverage it positively to help simmer down the rhetoric and the emotions. Sadly, humans being what we are, it’s tough to compete in primaries against someone who leverages it to turn the heat up.
