It remains to be seen if he can recruit with top SEC programs. FSU and UM both had better grades HS OL classes last year. Don’t see the early commits on OL other programs are getting. Missing on some kids currently. Offering some 2024 OL kids in last 30 days due to misses. Sale needs to recruit better and have better relationships with kids. Since Billy took over, we had Mincey immediately go to TN, Tarquin and White (not enrolling) go to USC, Braun go to Arkansas, Conner go to Colorado and Yousef go to Colorado and now reenter transfer portal again. Two OL coaches and 6 OL transfer. Not a good look.

 

well, none of those players were recruited by Sale, including Connor who signed before Sale was hired. It is not uncommon for any player to transfer now when new coaching staffs take over. Happens at nearly every program at every position nowadays. Be it the coaches decision, the players, or mutual.

while I do agree it remains a concern/to be seen if he can recruit, I don’t think those players transferring out is a big deal.

 

Sale might be that developer that we need, but just because we lost a ton of O-linemen doesn't mean he can't upgrade that room. We'll see how he does.

It will be very interesting to see who gets drafted of the people who transferred out over the last couple years. I’m thinking maybe Hopper and Tarquín? Hopper is the only actual loss I see out of the huge amount of athletes who have transferred out

 

I could see Hopper just being under sized for the next level, but man I would have loved for him to stay at UF.

 

based on his shoulder issues in both high school and college Tarquin may fail some medical reviews. I think hopper gets drafted.
