Glad they have the run rule. Up in my area, the Ohio Valley Conference only has it on last game of a series. Last week was a 26-6 9 inning game. It was brutal.
That was a reference to Ringo Starr saying that after the Beatles recording of "Helter Skelter". DOM. LOL.
I spent most of my time on the softball thread. Game was much tighter and a lot of interesting banter going on. Great comeback by the ladies. 4 runs in the bottom of the 7th to win 6-5. As for the baseball game, did I hear the announcers right when they said Missouri has lost 5 of the key pitchers to injury since the season started?? Sproat was great tonight and I was glad for Shelnut. And good to see Robertson get his 1st HR. What a big smile on his face as he rounded the bases. Let's hope they get to play tomorrow. I wonder if the SEC would order two 7 inning games on Sunday if they get rained out Saturday?
Maybe the softball crowd won’t feel bad about coming to baseball games. We can get you back home in 2 hours .
Well I guess we know now who will start in RF tomorrow. I'll be updating my lineups on the roster page 1.
It was a really nice evening at the ballpark. Like the radio guys said everything went right for the Gators. Most important, it was good to see Shelnut and Riopelle have big nights. The team batted around in the 2nd which we haven't done much of lately in SEC games. Missouri looks and acts like a beaten team as soon as they get behind. With no pitchers to turn to, it makes me wonder if they are loading their arms on Sunday to try for any win they can get. For me this weekend is all abo0ut getting this team ready for the next 3 weekends with TA&M. Vandy, and Kentucky. If we can set our lineup with good productivity deep in the order we might have a chance to make a run if our starting pitchers give us any positive consistency. I really hope we get these next two games in to solidify our team, find out who will pitch on Sundays, and get the sweep to boost our position in the SEC standings. We are fighting for a top 4 spot for better seeding in the SECT, NTIRMTM.
Not sure but I did think it was funny that their last two pitchers had the names HASTY COLON. Maybe that's why they seemed to be playing for the run rule.
did the announcers ever give a reason why our starting pitcher for Sunday's game is TBD? did Cags hurt his arm?
I come online to catch up on the softball game first and MCB51 and you didn’t list any “SPOILER ALERT” warning when giving updates on the baseball game
I haven't heard any. I think it's just time to try something different or maybe take a one week rest. I doubt it's his arm or he wouldn't be out there playing first base.
