Some people are more competitive than others. When I was a kid and we played Trivia Pursuit, no one wanted to be on my mom's team because she would give hints to the other side to try to help them. I, on the other hand, have always hated losing, though I've tried to work on that over the years, lol.

I don't think the government needs to micro manage little kids' soccer games or recreational leagues or anything like that. In elementary school, some of the girls can beat the boys anyway. Let private organizations do what they want. If we're talking about high school and college sports where they are government funds involved, potential scholarships, etc., there's a reason we have Title IX.

Yeah, I don't even think gender-based dress codes should pass a rational basis test much less intermediate scrutiny. I recall being suspicious if they were really enforceable in public schools, but maybe it'd be a different analysis for county-wide codes for adults. I'm sure they could come up with some arguments. Didn't Scalia take the position that sex/gender isn't a protected category at all and the Court just invented that? Aside from the constitutionality, I can only imagine the sorts of debates about whether there have to be exceptions for traditional robes or kilts worn by men and whether the government has the right to ban men from having hair of a certain length. Would the law apply to male politicians who wear makeup?

 

This is the type of person most likely to be impacted by state laws banning the participation of transgender athletes, not one like Lia Thomas.

So the photo I posted wasn't real? By the way in previous posts I stated that as a general rule transgender athletes who have gone through male puberty should not compete against females although the decision as to who should or should not compete should be left to the bodies responsible for governing sports not politicians and by the way roughly one percent of the population is transgender, the percentage who want to compete in organized sports is probably far smaller yet Republican politicians seem to have an obsession with the issue.

 

You attempted to make it seem like it's not an issue by posting that photo and got called out on it. No big deal. If it's not a big deal then why do you care it either way? That makes no sense.

 

I have two daughters who are athletes. Trans athletes better not come near my girls. I’m not obsessed but I have a very firm stance against them competing with girls.

Take action, call my doctor, set an initial appt, then pre op, then surgery. All of that could be done in 2-3 weeks, month max. Has ‘Lia Thomas’ scheduled her bottom surgery aka junk removal? I would think this would be something ‘ Lia’ would want immediately.
