FSU tonight up/out there in Tallahassee. It's FSU, so throw out the record books. When the game begins, we are in, and staying in, the present. It's Great to be A Florida Gator.

 

The semi-holes 2 top pitchers: 0.93 and 1.10.

 

Their coach is doing a great job of reloading every year.

 

And they have seven hitters over .300 Hopefully that stat is a product of easy non-conference games. I like the "throw out the record books, its FSU/UF" cuz that's what we're gonna need.

 

FSU's SOS is #13, non-conference SOS is #16. Florida's SOS is #11, non-conference SOS is #47.

 

Who do you think is the Gator starting pitcher?

 

My guess would be Hightower.

 

Hightower's confidence has gotta be pretty wrecked right about now.

We could just declare "Bender time" early and save a pitcher change later.

 

Agree. Same could be said of Rylee and Lexi, too. Maybe throw Gigante into the fire.

I would compare FSU to an an upper tier SEC team. In SEC games, here are some of our numbers:
.268 BA, .428 slugging, .369 OBP, 5.66 ERA, .272 BA against

Trlicek has our best conference ERA at 3.98, Hightower at 4.77, Delbrey 7.29

Wallace is .529 in SEC games, 9 HR, 22 RBI, 1.216 slugging, .652 OBP (She is a legit All American)
Pollard, who only has 6 conference at bats, is next at .333
Roe is at .302, Walsh .288, Falby, .276, Echols .263, Wilkie .227, Egan .225, Goelz .195, Kistler .195, Longley .143

 

Goelz and Kistler the big letdowns there......both are proven t be better than those numbers. Chala probably as well, although she often doesn't get as much to hit

 

Don't let any pitcher see the same batter twice and see what happens.

 

There is a line of thunderstorms approaching Tallahassee from the west. A rain out is much better for this team than a 4th loss in a row.

Our 2nd best hitter in SEC play, Sam Roe, not in the lineup. Their starter is a freshman who FSU recruited from the state of Oregon, where she was state POY in 2022.
