Yet again, these jokers act like there's no record of them saying and doing the opposite of what they claim, amazing.

Yep. Like when the CDC released "studies" claiming masks work like 80% of the time. I used to laugh at the "studies" and the lemmings said I was the one who was crazy LOL. Can't fix stupid.

Shocking to see yet another study showing masks don't work. Don't worry, the head grifter will be along to say yes they do LOL. Can't fix stupid.

Face mask recommendations in schools did not impact COVID-19 incidence among 10–12-year-olds in Finland – joinpoint regression analysis | BMC Public Health | Full Text

According to our analysis, no additional effect was gained from mandating face masks, based on comparisons between the cities and between the age groups of the unvaccinated children (10–12 years versus 7–9 years).

Not a big surprise. While masks can reduce the transmission of COVID, their ability to reduce transmission relies on several factors. One of which is wearing them properly, which is something adults struggle with. Kids are likely even worse. This limitation is mentioned in this exact study:

Face masks can have a protective effect in respect to the transmission of COVID-19 [2]. However, this protective effect can be significantly reduced or completely ignored if the face mask is not used properly [3]. This can be the case especially with young children.
Face masks also work better in short term, limited exposure scenarios. Schools, with kids going 5 days a week for hours a day, isn't short term. And it's not like people, adults and kids alike, at school, can wear a mask 100% of the time, as people need to eat. The total amount of time, and total time not wearing a mask daily while being together is another reason why masks at schools are likely ineffective.

Masks can help in certain situations. I just don't think schools is one of those, as the data to date has shown.

See gang, some people are so obtuse they make irrational choices. The Always Maskers will never give up, even though anyone with a brain knows they don't work. Hell, even Fauci is saying they don't work(no one believes the "maybe 10%" crap). Can't fix stupid.

See gang, some people ignore anything that goes against what they believe. Even the authors of the study you posted say masks work, but only when worn correctly, which is something difficult for children to do. I even quoted the part of the study you linked that said exactly that. But hey, you knew more about the Cochrane study than the actual authors of the Cochrane study. Doesn't surprise me you know more about the Finnish school study than the authors too!

Grift continues. Masks don't work. Authors stated the stand by their findings that masks don't work. Even Fauci sees it. Only the nut jobs think otherwise. Mask up Skippy!

Yep. They stand by their work and the statement that specifically states their study does not prove masks don't work. But you know more than the authors of the study!

I think the problem is that AZ and I are looking at this from the perspective of the people making macro-level decisions and you're looking at this from the perspective of trying to win an argument on a message board.

I'd have no issue admitting I was wrong if you provided credible evidence that masks are 0% effective but you haven't done that. If masks are anything other than 0% effective then they were the right decision on a macro scale to try to save lives.

Yeah, lets mask 2 year olds. Brilliant. All in the name of science! Of course we have Zero RCT's that show masks work ever. So this isn't new. What should've happened was say mask if you want to but we have zero evidence showing they work. Simple as that. You do have a problem admitting you were wrong. Masks don't work. Go read the Cochrane study. It's why Walensky lied about it. No other reason to lie of course. It's ok. I get it, you've thought for 3 years masks work. Well, you were lied to.

More bad faith arguments and lying about the Cochrane study. I'm bored with this now.

The authors of the Cochrane study say that those who claim the study proves masks don't work are being, "inaccurate and misleading." Yet, I guess some people here either don't know the meaning of the words inaccurate and misleading. Or, maybe they know more than the actual authors of the study!

Masks have proven to work in lab settings. But in the lab, you can control things like proper mask usage. In the real world, when you have people wearing them as chin straps, or using a disposable mask for the 15th time in 10 days, as it hangs from the rearview mirror when it's not being used, this is going to skew results of mask efficacy outside the lab. What the Cochrane study shows isn't the efficacy of masks, but the efficacy of mask policies. It's like a seat belt law that has no teeth, and nobody changes behavior when it comes to wearing a seat belt. Is that a failure of the seat belt to save lives? No. It's the failure of the people to properly wear a seat belt, which has been proven to save lives.

The Grift continues! Luckily most people don't listen to this clown anymore. I mean who would when they were for Lockdowns, School closures, forced masking, against NI, and forced vaxxing of kids. Just too funny. I mean you could throw darts at a dart board and eventually get something right on covid. But not this clown LOL.

Must be nice being you. Always right! Because you know more than the authors of studies! And when the data disagrees with you, just ignore it! Why? Because you are always right!

Lockdowns, along with school closures helped slow the spread of COVID. So did masking, in limited instances. Problem was too many people didn't follow simple and basic masking protocols. And masks not covering noses, or single use masks that have been used dozens of times are as useless as no mask at all. And vaxxing kids? All studies show the benefits far outweigh the risks for kids 12 and older, which is why just about every country on Earth recommends the vaccine for this age group. Ages 5 to 11 the data isn't as clear, but the risks are still incredibly low. But why care about what medical experts with advanced degrees and years of practical medical knowledge recommend. Just listen to 95. He knows all!

Just be glad you don't live in India. During the pandemic, a large number of people were taking an unusual cure for Covid: cow urine. It turns out that a large percentage of the population believes in ancient Hindu texts that recommend drinking cow urine for a variety of ailments.

Drinking cow urine is known to be harmful – so why do people consume it every day in India? (yahoo.com)

    "Might be"?
