FWIW, my comment was directed at the gals in the OP, who puported to speak on behalf of feminists, and who seemed to attack femenity, as a weakness.

Stated differently, the folly i was addressing, was the school of thought that pits feminity against empowerment, and views feminity as a weakness, in the name of so-called *feminism*.

I have zero issue with feminism in terms of women empowerment.

...and I say that as a proud father of a fiercely independent (and strikingly beautiful and feminine) daughter, and husband of a badass wife (fellow Gator) who is also fiercely independent, and intimidates men on a daily basis.

Your view of someone's tattoos or "body makeup" has nothing to do with their argument and only serves to both antiquate and weaken your arguments. When I was in high school and college, I was a pretty libertarian punk rocker with (at one time) a mohawk.

Did that strengthen or weaken my argument about free enterprise? Taxes? Access to education? No. It did not. Every generation has their petulant "kids today" blithering to minimize often real concerns of younger people. The Greatest Generation was often known to look upon their stupid hippie boomer kids with disdain for breaking workplace norms, protest music, and general fashion. I remember my boomer parents rolling their eyes at JNCO jeans, chains, and other fashion choices.

Would I dress like this at forty? N O P E. Do I believe in workplace dress codes? Yes.

Do I think that those invalidate rational, logical arguments or that a suit or attire that better comforts more conservative people makes one's position stronger? Nope... and the inverse is also true. Being "punk" didn't make my arguements more solid.

We'd be a lot better as a nation if we listened to people rather than discounted them for age, gender, sexual orientation, cultural/religous beliefs, or, God forbid, fashion. Note: if [group] wants to impose any of these on others (read: not asking for equal rights, to be clear,) then it's an issue and related to some political/social position.
