Most aren't on welfare. I have driven through their community in Lakewood. There are actually many different groups, which often want nothing to do with one another. Orthodox is actually a pretty broad term, the nuances of which I don't myself understand.

    Orthodox Judaism - Wikipedia

Parts of it actually look pretty wealthy. One of the doctors at my job is Orthodox. Despite being small in number they are overrepresented in professional jobs and top universities. I think they have to walk to Temple on Saturday so they all have to live in a specialized community. Welfare fraud and public benefit fraud is known to be a problem with certain groups. But they also don't use a lot of services, like public schools. And different types of fraud, be it tax fraud, insurance fraud, ect., is often a problem
with insular ethnic enclaves. It wasn't long ago that Italian communities had the reputation of being mafia affiliated. It all depends. Anyway, reality is complicated.

They should make an HBO series with a plot arc like that.

Don Lemon. Wouldn't that knock people off their pedestal. And CNN picks up Carlson. What a bizarre world that would become.

I tended to agree. I was pointing out the absurdity of her statement. Kind of reminds me of what some Fox viewers and right-wing commentators said following the debate between Trump and Biden when they became pissed off because they felt that Chris Wallace wasn't sufficiently deferential to their Dear Leader with the Orange complexion.

Ironically Carlson was on CNN and MSNBC before he was hired by Fox but that's back when Tucker was a mainstream conservative. Although I'm not all that surprised, it now appears that Tucker Carlson may have been rational all along and that both he and Fox realized that he could become a much bigger media celebrity with a larger audience by creating the public persona as far right conspiracy theorist.

I'm not saying nobody will work with him, but Tucker already worked at both CNN and MSNBC in the past. I can't see either wanting him or vice versa. Putting aside the J6 related stuff, he's gotten a lot of heat over the years about misogynistic comments, and some think that has as much to do with his ouster at Fox News as anything.

Here are some of his past hits, and so far as I'm aware, Tucker never disputed that this is his voice. Whether he was doing this for shock value or talks about women this way in the office, I don't know.

Viewers are demanding that Whoopi Goldberg be fired from The View because she celebrated Carlson's firing. This uproar taking place, of course, on "the social media." It's amazing and disgusting to me that anything that a bunch of people (I won't say deplorables) say on Twitter about any subject becomes headline news. I don't give a damn about Twitter and never will. I almost feel nowadays that I'm living in some kind of parallel universe. How did I get here?

Bill O’Reilly is very talented and certainly hard right. But for all his faults, he did not push, at least to my limited knowledge, flat out lies or racists propaganda. He attacked the Left, sometimes mercilessly, but he didn’t cross the lines that Tucker routinely crossed.

So now that this "shakeup" is happening, I feel like it's a good time to revisit the idea of the absurdity that people listen to someone who has absolutely zero business informing opinions about any of the things they prattle on about.

Tucker Carlson and Don Lemon have literally no expertise in virtually anything. Without a Wikipedia search no one can tell you the first thing about these two know-nothings beyond how they manipulate listerners' emotions on a daily basis.

I'm not even sure what Don Lemon even prattled on about outside of the "in their prime" commentary about women. As in, why in the ****** would I ever consider a single thing that he ever said about anything meaningful? He literally adds no value to anything, as far as I can tell. So he's out? OH NOOOOOO!!!! How will anyone ever figure out if the war in Ukraine is good or bad now?

And Tucker is the same, except even more ludicrous. Why you would ever take a single syllable of thought leadership from that idiot is a question in and of itself. But you hear a lot more of his prattle because it zooms right by Lemon's uselessness about "prime" and right into outright propaganda of the worst kind imaginable. He literally tries to convince you to commit social atrocities because of boogeymen he invents and places under your bed.

Everyone pretends they just want "unbiased" news. Which is almost all untrue. If that were true Fox would have failed decades ago. The others would have followed suit since they all are now shades of Fox, some going Full Nut like OAN and others trying to be anti-Fox like CNN. Social media would have never taken off, since it's NOTHING BUT every individual spouting hot takes. Old people can't figure out Twitter so they still need Tucker to read to them and in person get togethers at Hardees to agree with themselves and their three friends. Millennials and younger just skip that superfluous level and go straight to screeching themselves in those phony basement "studios."

If you put someone out there that just read the news, that would flame out in about six hours.

There is likely some articulate telepromter reader in his mom's basement behind a desk and in front of a cheap digital green screen who is simply reciting today's events. Well, I'm actually not sure, because I have never heard of that person if so. Because that person wouldn't get a minute of run from such an endeavor.

The internal memos back this up. He kept saying how he couldn’t believe the BS that was being pushed, but he pushed it anyway to secure the ratings.

Lol. Even liberals here have called him that.

Its funny that to people like you a moderate looks like you. Newsflash. That aint a moderate.

Also, I call myself a moderate conservative generally and have never made an bones about that.

I call my side out way more than most posters from either side do.

Don Lemon was a political hack. Moderate liberals know that.

CNN mentions of Lemon on its home page: 2
Fox mentions of Carlson on its home page: Zero. But it does have stories saying that Biden is planning "a future where you don't own money," NYC mayor is 'coming for you food and waging war on the modern diet' and, of course, Hunter Biden's laptop.

Just a guess but I suspect that the "viewers" referenced in the article probably never watch the View but were regular viewers of Tucker's show on Fox [we're not the] News.

    Tucker cant hold O'Reilly's jock.
O'Reilly was pretty respected and leftists would definately go on his show and get fair treatment.

O'Reilly also had the fortitude to at least go after the right on occasion also. Tucker only goes after the right that is to his left.

He can't drift into cozy retirement and become irrelevant quick enough.
