You’re spot on Skink. I hope I never have the misfortune of sitting next to some of the posters on this site at a Gator football game. I think one of us would have to leave early….very early.
Very very very early. How early? So early that you’d be like “oh no, this is so early. Early Thomas. My name is Early. Early the pearly
She's pretty darn good, BUT...she is over-animated. She needs to tame it down or pull back from the camera. In acting class my teacher used to tell us: "Too many MPS, (mugs per second) As an actor you never want to be caught 'acting'. As an announcer you want to be animated, create your own style. But she's way too big. She's a pretty face and does a great job, she's improving over time, but I wish she'd just tone it down a smidge. She could get picked up by a network. IMHO it comes off as she's trying too hard. Just my 2 cents, based on experience in the studio and acting. I'm a fan, I'd love to figure out how to give her feedback without insulting her. We all evolve over time. Or not. Anyway. GO GATORS!
They were just prepping to sit the bowl game.. I’m interested to see what we look like after the mass exodus. Attitude goes a long way.
I agree that we want to give Lageay every opportunity to start next year. Whether Mertz or Miller start this year is irrelevant concerning 24-25. Miller is being given a fair chance to start this year and will be given that opportunity next year. The best man wins. It is as simple as that. If feelings are hurt then they know where the door is!
Almost no qb needs to start as a freshman. Redshirt freshman, sure, but not a highschool kid new to the system. It would be great if he was ready but not likely.
History tells us that very few true freshman are ready . Nothing personal to Lagway, just in general. They are very far and few between
Baptism by fire is an underutilized approach. I've heard the "don't ruin him" argument before, but I disagree with it. If a guy gets destroyed because he struggled a bit in his first year, he isn't the right guy. Overcome and adapt.
Exactly. Chris Leak was thrown into the fire as a true freshman and showed he could get the job done.
And wouldn't you say that a lot of whether they do or don't depends on the competition that they go up against at the school they are attending? And would you currently say that Lagway if facing stiff competition for the starting position right now? As I said, anything can happen in this football season, but given what we have seen of Mretz, Miller, and Brown I think Lagway has as much of a chance of starting next year as anyone of them. At least one will inevitably transfer.
