Wonder if Napes was honest with him post spring eval that he would be getting less reps so the younger guys gain experience.
Anyone else returning punts or kicks is a plus for me in this situation. But seriously good luck to the kid and hopefully he finds a good landing spot.
Yep, I caught that article a couple hours ago, but I was hoping it was just a well played rumor... seems legit. Thank you for posting it, ocalaman.
Or he realizes our QB play is not going to be very good this year and wants to get actual opportunities to catch the ball.
I thought we would be getting 6 players in the portal, just yesterday. Now I think we get 2 D-linemen, 2 O-linemen, 1 Safety, 1 receiver, and 1 QB. 6 or 7 portal players.
Is nobody willing to admit something is troublesome over there or are we all “CBN perfect/player bad/part of the plan/be patient” etc. Dude- this is getting weird
If we can do better than Napier, then yeah. But if not, we have no choice but to suck it up and watch our rivals beat us week-in-week-out in the fall. It’s good to be humbled, that way many years from now we are ecstatic at .500 record an a bowl game
What’s weird or troublesome? Some middle of the road guys are transferring out. The Powell one seems weird, but not troublesome imo.
I think we're riding with some unproven youth too. So don't expect us to be seasoned veterans in all positions of need... especially in the back-ups, depth, department.
Yes, it's called the wild, wild west in recruiting, and portal transfers, brought to you by the unregulated NIL.
If getting portal guys I’d have expected to already have a few. I know just opened 8/9 days ago but with spots open you’d think we’d already have a few commit. Longer wait doesn’t bode well for us. 1-2 names hopefully soon, especially at WR, Ol, Edge, etc
