Seems likely he has played through injury every year. The altern is just sit on the bench. Some players are sitters and some are players. Ethan played.
All Napier did was get them better housing, parking , food, nutrition, suits, …, but also demanded a better work ethic , stricter following of rules, and different blocking scheme to open up the running game. Ethan could not apparently adapt.
I'm not sensitive, and I didn't say anything about bad mouthing. But her comments were very subtle, but very clear. Mullen and Hevesy weren't here when Ethan left, but she thanked them. Duh.
Yeah, so what? He thanked the coaches the had the most impact on him. Big deal. Like I said....sensitive.
AR’s thank you message to Gator Nation was more related to Mullen than Napier as well. Just part of process when changing coaching staffs. Kids loyalty is divided or to former staff. Billy needs his own guys.
I think it all goes back to what I said at the beginning of the season, Napier was WAY more interested in getting the system up and running properly than winning any particular game last year. Call it leveraging the honeymoon phase. Personally, I was much more surprised at how many players hung on after last year's spring practice. This year is the makeup session to the reality of a regime change as big as he is tackling. O-line and QB play (or should I say making more good plays than bad plays) will dictate the w-l record next year. And that is sobering...based on history.
