Do you care about your appearance when you go out in public? Do you care about how your car looks? How your house looks? How your wife looks?

I don't think it's difficult to understand why some sports fans care about the aesthetic appeal of their beloved team.

'Nole here and I cannot tell you how pissed off I, really most of us, have been from that abomination of a uniform change they did like 9 years ago. FSU is actually keeping the Unconquered font numbers but praise Allah they got that hideous pattern off the shoulders and moved the numbers there which I have always thought was really sharp. They made small incrimental changes here and there but they finally nailed it. Looks like they might've changed the garnet back too. Looks more red and less purple-ish like what South Carolina wears and more like what we wore in the 90s and 00's, pre-2014 really.

Nike gets so damn cliche with all the symbolism and assigning some contrived meaning to every little thing. It is so tiresome.

I know they like everyone to have their own little font, typeface, etc. Branding or whatever. IIRC they did that with UGA for a few seasons with kinda rounded numbers but went back to block numbers the last few seasons. I've always thought UF's look was pretty clean and classic. Unique color scheme. I think I liked block numbers a little better instead of that weird angular font or whatever it is but they look good.

I have always been a little jealous of UF being willing to switch it up. Those god awful gator skin print uniforms were all time bad but man those throwbacks they put out are top notch. I'd love to see FSU do that with the 70s version.

Hopefully, we can chose uniforms that result in having a winning season this year.

They also didn't get good until they ditched the orange unis either. At this point, with 2 SB's in those uniforms, this should be the uniform for good moving forward.

I get your sarcasm, but those undershirts are nasty... me, me, me BS! Nothing "team" about it.

 

Need modern looking uniforms, as you stated the recruits really care about this. That's why they even notice the Jordan logo on football gear.

Get rid of the darn shoulder straps and modernize the overall look. Get the Gator head logo more involved in the uniform, even if it was shaded out a bit and muted. Just something!

And no retro crap... there is nothing of relevance to old logos from a time out program was even more irrelevant than we currently are today. Recruits have grown up with the Gator head logo and should be the only logo, outside of Gators script, that we use.

 

The only thing that should be black is the cleats. Ala 1990.

 

Who cares about blocking and tackling. The perfect shade of blue is on the line.
