doctors, mostly obgyn are leaving states with strict anti-abortion laws and medical students are not specializing in obgyn in those states.

the reality will be less healthcare for women in states with strict anti-abortion laws and they will have the christian nationalists to thank for it

That's correct. Ron misses the days of Jim Crow and wants to impose those sort of restrictions on the LGBTQ community.

You guys are as fixated on DeSantas as Trump. While I detest Obama, Clinton, Pelosi, Biden, Joe and family, et al, I don’t let it consume me 24/7. I told my uber liberal son to try to make an argument WITHOUT mentioning Trump; I haven’t heard from him in weeks!

Trump is the leader of the MAGA (Republican) party, the party is following his lead, and so it’s perfectly reasonable to include Trump in political discussions. DeSantis is in second place behind Trump, and a possible contender for the republican presidential nomination, so including him in political discussions is also perfectly reasonable. Those are the reasons we’re talking about them instead of Senator Deb Fischer of Nebraska.

I was being facetious, if you didn’t know.
    What I am referring to and I see it all of the time is;
If someone criticizes the current POTUS or administration, the typical liberal lashes out with, Well, Trump did this or that. It is kind of a sophomoric argument that gets tedious. If I had time, I could cite many examples of this on Too Hot, probably thousands. If someone argued something against Trump during his tenure, I doubt I countered with, Well, Obama/Biden/Holder did this. Not a huge deal but it annoys me enough that I cease to post on the Too Hot cult/mob forum.
The only reason I posted tonight was because I was waiting for a pizza and I had read all of the sports related GC forums and GC pub, which I enjoy.

Poster joins thread on DeS and the first nine words change the focus to Trump ( "You guys are as fixated on DeSantas as Trump." Then wants to suggest that focus all on Trump is the reason for not posting. DERP.

teachers no longer allowed to discuss sexual orientation up through high school. amazing how fast these social crusade bills get passed when we can't seem to do anything about real problems. these are just executive decrees masquerading as legislation at this point

is the legislature just scared shitless at this point or wth?

Florida Board of Education expands ‘Don’t Say Gay’ classroom ban to all grades | PBS NewsHour

The Florida Board of Education on Wednesday approved a ban on classroom instruction about sexual orientation and gender identity in all grades, expanding the law critics call “Don’t Say Gay” at the request of Gov. Ron DeSantis as he gears up for an expected presidential run.

Desantis using his governorship for his fight with Disney and giving updates on his war on woke in other states….

“In his first trip to South Carolina under the spotlight of a potential presidential run, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis railed against transgender athletes and criticized diversity and inclusion efforts, characterizing both as a “woke-mind virus” that is taking hold of American society. Then he kept going.”

In first SC swing, Ron DeSantis slams 'woke' culture, gender identity as 'cultural Marxism'

Maybe after desantis regulates wdw and stops wokeness he can push legislative support that could really help…

Survivors of human trafficking claim the programming they were promised at the Lifeboat Project, including therapy services, weren’t consistent, and they felt re-exploited for the nonprofit’s bottom line.

They just put you in a house and say, ‘Hey, I take care of her,’” one survivor said. “But they really don’t.” They were like, ‘Oh, well, you know, we’re struggling nonprofit, we need the money,’’” one said, who had been labor trafficked since she was a child. “You’re not offering me any security. You just want me to go tell my story.”

Florida has no regulation or certification standards for adult human trafficking safehouses. Anyone can open one, and solicit public grants or donations. The Lifeboat Project has received grant money from Orange County, Seminole County, and the city of Orlando.

Attorney General Ashley Moody told us through a spokesperson that she plans to work on this issue with state lawmakers during this legislative session……. So far, no legislation has been filed.”

Ah yes, "cultural marxism," another one of the far-right antisemitic conspiracy theories. Really great to see that DeRacist has fully embraced it.

Well, at least you brought up something of actual interest to people here and a topic that you should have developed more fully at the expense of your post's "filler."

Where did the pizza come from? Toppings? Type of crust?

You really don’t understand why a political message board based in Florida has a lot of discussion about its governor, especially when he’s so extremely high profile and actively pushing/mandating a lot very controversial things?
