This is as good as any place to post this college baseball information.

Here is a bit of information that will be of interest to all those people wondering about our average game attendance versus every other college baseball team in the nation. You will be pleasantly surprised to see how the Gators compare to other schools.

Who said people don't come out to see the Gators play baseball?

That’s great to see. Hopefully it continues in the years to come.

That said, I take these stats with a massive grain of salt. There’s basically zero oversight on how the schools report these numbers (seats sold vs actual butts in seats, etc) and the various athletic departments are notorious for just making stuff up.

That’s not to say UF’s is, necessarily. The UGA series in particular was impressive, fudged numbers or not.

 

They arent even #1 in the west!

 

We’ve been top 10ish in attendance for a long time. I’ve always thought the complaints about fan support were unfounded. Yes, it sucks that the top 5 is all other SEC teams, and the top 3 or 4 have ridiculous numbers, but our attendance is very good and has been for a long time. Nice to see the climb in numbers with the new stadium too. Hanging neck and neck with TX is pretty solid. We’re obviously not going to average 10k+, we don’t even have capacity for that.

Do they still go by tickets sold rather than seats filled?

 

Your link inspired my comment, just didn’t quote it. Without looking, I would have guessed pretty close to that. First year in the new stadium still had a bunch of Covid restrictions going on, so numbers were all screwed up. You could see the numbers starting to climb last year, and our numbers were still pretty solid even at Mckethan. Much more solid than we get credit for.

 

That I do not know. But the stands have looked rather full lately, judging from the TV cameras. The stands look packed. But I'm sure the people here/posters that go to the game live are better judges of that.

For ex.. if MSu sells 10 thousand season tix, which include mid week games, but only avg 5 thousand in attendance for mid week games which number is being used>? Most box scores have the tix sold amount. Or use too, havent really paid atetntion recently.

pretty much.. Schools have both sets of numbers Im sure..sold & in seats. Just curious if ncaa is specific in which they are using/asking for.. If up to schools to report, then I know my answer lol
