Yeah, but there isn't an age group with a 0% death rate, is there? Which was the point. You might need to try to read next time.

 

It is called life. Tell your story to those injured by the shot. Tell it to the people who took the shot and still died of Covid. 0% is the fear you have been propagandized with.

 

There is not a group who took the shot and has a 0% death rate. In fact it is well over 90% of the older age groups now. Of course over 90% are vaccinated. But…

Nobody gets through life alive. There are risks in everything. But we can do stubborn things to lower our risks and increase our chances of remaining safe and alive. Wear seat belts and life jackets, for example. Do these prevent everyone who wore them from dying? No, but odds of living increase substantially if and when people wear them properly. Would you advocate not wearing them because they weren't 100% effective at preventing all deaths?

The COVID vaccine lowers the risk of getting a severe case in all age groups 12 and older. Sadly, it's not a cure that prevents everyone from getting COVID and dying, but that's why it's a vaccine, not a cure. But like a seat belt increases your chance at surviving a car accident, a vaccine will increase your chances of survival if and when you get COVID.

The numbers clearly show that while not 100% effective, seat belts save lives. Same can be said about the vaccine. Not 100% effective, but it saves lives.

I didn't claim there was a group for which the shot lowers your risk to 0% of death. However, there is not a group for which the risk is not lower than it would be if you don't get vaccinated. That is what the data shows.

 

I love people using the CDC children's death statistics like they are real numbers. Even the CDC says they are way off by around 40%. Was covid a risk to healthy children? No. I've posted the data too many times to count. The Flu is much more dangerous to kids than covid. Not even close. But most on here know that but are so far down in the hole being a covidiot that they can't help themselves. Grift on!

 

Two phrases come to mind when discussing the vaccine on this board. First is, "Don't let perfect be the enemy of good." The vaccine isn't perfect, and no, doesn't prevent 100% of cases, hospitalizations, or deaths from COVID. But it has done a lot of good, and has saved millions of lives all over the planet. And again, every age group over 12, every cohort, the vaccine reduces the risk of a severe case of COVID. That's a lot of good, lots of people who didn't go to the hospital or the morgue, to throw away just because the vaccine isn't perfect.

The other is, "There are times you make all the right moves and still lose." Doesn't matter if the game is an athletic event, card game, or the game of life. Sometimes, the obstacles you have to overcome, like being dealt a bad hand, or facing a superior opponent makes winning impossible. But if you do your best, and "leave everything on the field" every time, you are likely to win more than lose. At least that's the lesson I try to impart to my kids.

You can still do all the right things, be fully vaccinated, and still get a severe case of COVID. But just because this is true, doesn't mean you still shouldn't do all the right things, and get vaccinated. Because again, being fully vaccinated stacks the deck in your favor when it comes to getting a serious case of COVID. Not a guarantee, but again, don't let perfect be the enemy of good.

Oh, and even if the CDC COVID deaths for 17 and under are 50% off, that's still over 550 kids who have died from COVID. And COVID is the 8th leading cause of death in all pediatrics, and 5th for kids 15-19, with the majority of these deaths coming from the unvaccinated.

 

You left out the third: potentially harmful treatment for fictitious disease.

 

Interesting facts about children and the vax. You would think Q, being the pro-life Republican that he is, would want to save as many kids as possible, but then I forgot they don’t actually care about them once they’re outside the womb, lol.

No I don’t want to put an unnecessary new drug in kids where the risk benefit says they should not take it. Hence most have not given these shots to their kids. That is a good thing.
