UK may soon seize kitchen knives from suspected criminals' homes amid dangerous weapons crackdown | Fox News The crackdown would ban the sale and possession of some machetes and unmarked zombie-style knives, according to a report from The Telegraph. Police would also be given powers to seize and destroy the weapons, while criminals would face tougher sentences for their sale and possession. "Machetes and other large knives are a danger to our communities." Home Secretary Suella Braverman said. "Stabbings and murders are all too widespread. As thugs attack each other on our streets with these weapons, they pose a serious problem in some of our towns and cities." Under current laws in England and Wales, if police find a machete or other legal blade in someone’s home they cannot seize or act on this, even if they believe the items will be used in crime. It is also illegal to carry most knives in public without a "good reason" such as for work purposes or to sell most knives or any weapons to anyone under the age of 18. Coming soon to America.
Yep, deep state will be knocking at your door, I hear Hillary has a personal interest in you, in particular. I hear she bringing the Punisher.
Wow. If they seize all our kitchen knives, does that mean we’ll have to slice meat and chop veggies with our AR-15s? that could get messy.
That's what a society of responsible citizens looks like. Living in one where people blast away at your car for turning around in their driveways, you wouldn't recognize it.
Keeping in mind that the original post is based on a story from Fox (not really) News and even the Fox story was distorted by the OP, the link below contains a much more accurate description of the UK proposal, which is intended to close a loophole applicable to very specific types of knives already subject to a ban. Machetes and zombie knives to be banned after loopholes leave police powerless
Our system routinely incarcerates people before they are given a trial or convicted. If I had a choice to sit in jail or give up my machete pending trial, I'd choose the latter. Interestingly, Florida law makes the manufacture and sale of brass knuckles illegal. I don't know if it's enforced, but it's hard to believe it's still on the books. Maybe the NRA doesn't have a brass knuckle catalog.
I never knew that I was obsessed with stalking the deranged former president. I should also note that @flgator2 is apparently one of Trump's most obsessed defenders, a poster who apparently worships the former president and believes that he can do no wrong.
