    Anyone remember the Canadian runningback recruit reported in the Independent Florida Alligator Kerry DeBall? Jack Hairston had a hissy-fit over it.

    I remember the hoax story in SI about a young pitcher I think the name was Sidd Finch who reportedly threw 160 mph or something like that and was from France Hairston picked it up and wrote about it IIRC. George Plimpton wrote it and SI photog provided pics, it was an elaborately done April Fools story. Hairston was incensed at SI for running it. I'm not sure if he wrote about it or was just pissed at SI for doing it.
