Bobby I made that comment because my understanding is that UF needs to beef up the QB room IMMEDIATELY. Not knocking the kid but give me DJ for next year. I suppose it would not hurt to bring him in but UGA retreads are not my first choice in the world. Kid may win the Heisman and go #1 in the future for all I know but he clearly can't help UF this coming season. besides, he looks like he could be meatloafs grand kid.............

He will need a waiver. The current SEC rule would prohibit any spring portal entrant to play within the league during the 2023 college football season. The rule has both critics and supporters. The transfer process continues to evolve. The legislation around it all continues to change with it. There are some who hope the SEC will simply adopt the NCAA guidelines for transfers and allow players to move freely throughout the conference no matter when they enter the portal. Others believe once a program goes through spring football that they should not have to worry about a player defecting and taking inside information to a potential opponent within the league. As it stands today, the rule remains steadfast. Sources close to the situation share that SEC commissioner Greg Sankey has declared that there will be no waivers granted for transfers within the conference this spring. In order for that process to change, the SEC presidents would have to vote to adjust the current policy. A vote is expected to take place during the SEC Men's Basketball Tournament the week of March 8th through the 12th. He's got that shot-put release down to a science. But he's still young... plenty more time for me to give a thoughtful opinion on his QB play. There's plenty more time for Arch to get that system down. I don't like to put that kind of shade on the young man... at least not at this moment in time.
You're wrong--1 they both love to give their opponents the needle. 2 There is a general hatred of them both by their rivals when they're winning. yea and considering the level of comp in HS he faced and he never played in ANY offseason camps, this doesn’t surprise me. He needs a year but the tools are there
