It is funny to see somebody that likes authoritarianism but doesn't like the fact that he likes authoritarianism try to justify the authoritarianism that he likes by claiming that people doing much less authoritarian things that he doesn't like are just as authoritarian, despite doing less authoritarian things. All just in an attempt to justify how he both enjoys authoritarianism but doesn't view himself as the type of person who enjoys authoritarianism. And grow more and more insulting to everybody else as people point out that he is exactly the type of person who likes authoritarianism (mostly because that thought isn't happy to him).
Let me put this in football terms for you: You're a coach for a football team, the other team has been holding all night but there hasn't been a single holding penalty all game. Your OL has been getting their ass kicked all night. You agree with the holding rule, but what do you instruct your OL to do?
Yep, when their choice is Florida or California, pick your poison. The people moving to Florida and leaving California speak so loudly through their actions I can't hear what they're saying. Florida is where woke goes to die.
In an ideal world? No. In the current world where Democrats are already doing it and will continue to do it with or without DeSantis's feud with Disney? Yes. Hopefully everyone gets the message and stops doing it, but if they don't, at least we won't lose the culture without a fight.
What "it" are the Democrats doing? What legislation have the Democrats passed that is the same as this?
When I moved to Florida in the 80s, Florida had a Dem. Governor and there were 900 people a day moving there and the population was less than 10 million. How many are now moving per day? Is it different? Bet the rate of growth is less.
Reading your rationalizations is just torture. You can't even man up and just call it wrong. For the record, I don't agree with what Newsome did with regards to Walgreens. Walgreens has to abide by the laws of the other states it does business in.
If society will treat the person in the upper left like a Nazi, why shouldn't he become the person in the bottom right? Apart from a personal sense of decency, morality, righteousness, religious views, etc.? What incentive structures exist for him not to be like the person in the bottom right if he's already branded a Nazi and treated like one? Hell, at least he'll have Nazi friends. They'll be evil, and the world will be worse for it, but he won't be alone.
