“15 years of soft basketball?” That includes 5 elite eight teams, and one that went unbeaten in SEC play. Parsons, Macklin, Beal, Walker, Boynton, Wilbekin, Young, Yeguete, DFS, Cheese—definitely soft, lol.
I liked the part where they either spit nails and shoot balls of fire out their a$$ or they should hit the road.
Walter Clayton is a bad ass basketball player and we are lucky to have him. I'm happy as are a lot of others. If someone isn't happy they should see a doctor.
If you’re referring to me, you might want to check with your eye doctor. I said, and I will repeat it, Clayton is CCa really good play, but he doesn’t look to me to be a true point guard. So, to add to that statement, if he starts along with Richard and Kugel, I would expect Kugel to effectively be the point guard in UF’s half court offense. Now, if you disagree, how about providing an intelligent explanation as to why?
One tough guy on a team does not make a tough team. Or 2. One good year does not make up for a lot of Charmin. The elite 8 is fun. Especially when you are tough.
It is just a title for the thread, but I was letting people who haven’t seen Clayton play and think we have filled our point guard need know that Clayton is not a point guard, and he wasn’t the starting point guard at Iona. You’re correct that it’s just my opinion.
I just noticed that you found my detailed analysis of Clayton and Jenkins to be funny. Care to share why? I love a good joke.
not knocking your opinion, just thought it was an interesting title. You know much more basketball then I do
So, Jenkins was more valuable at SG than at PG? That's why Pitino played him there instead of PG? I mean, I would generally trust Pitino's evaluation of who should be playing point in his offense.
I just read it as Clayton was the PG since you didn't specify and later called Jenkins his backcourt teammate. My bad.
If Clayton is playing PG, I’d still like to see us add another shooter at the 3 or 4 spot. I know that’s a bit of a pipe-dream.
