That's really your answer? Why discuss facts because you guys won't like them?

No, why discuss facts when you guys won't accept them. I realize there is some on here from both sides that won't accept facts unless they are from their approved sources. So, no place to have a discussion when your side doesn't respect and right sources, so why would we respect any left? When that is case then no possibility for any debate. There is no we can agree to disagree. Fill the forum with likeminded folks, then you can pat each other on the back and feel superior like so many on here do.
I don't know why I went past the first sentence, because I know your response will be what facts are not accepted. Just not going to play this stupid game anymore. I used to enjoy the conversations and some heated banter, but that is not this anymore.

Actually, I had no idea what your cryptic post was about. Pretty certain others were in the same position.

Definitely started in the '90s but one thing I remember was the childish removal of the letter W key from all the keyboards in the white house when Bush took over in 2000. Every time there is some tit for tat reaction between the two, it get's ramped up.

    With what exactly?
Are there people here who reject, excuse or deflect away from any news they don't like? Absolutely. A few on both sides of the aisle.
And there are also people who are here for honest, reasonable conversation. Also on both sides of the aisle.
Yes, the board is majority left, just like it used to be majority right.

But I'm not sure how that has anything to do with your "I heard a rumor. I'm not going to say what it is or where I heard it. But is it true?"
And then getting upset that everyone didn't immediately rush to your bidding.

And, no, obviously everyone here doesn't know what you read on social media. I know I don't and it's obvious that others don't either.

It was a childish prank, the problem is every time one side does something, the other side says "hold my beer". Also started with the Clinton / Lewinsky BS.

And just like clockwork, the side that is doing it says "well, the thing they did is much worse".

Removing the “w” from keyboards was hilarious and innocuous, IMO, and I voted for W. I don’t think it would have been much of a story if it weren’t for how the election went down and the sitting VP being on the “losing” side. It’s my belief that the tenor of our politics really started this degradation when the likes of Rush Limbaugh took to the airwaves.

Your exactly right. The right finally was hearing the truth when Rush was on the air.

Looks like they were covering up harassment of a 19 yo intern (just above the pedophilia threshold so many other conservatives seem unable to avoid) all while focusing the black guys that needed to be put in their place for being too uppity, playing to the racist base.

Two expelled Democratic reclaim seats in Tennessee special electionF

Aug 3 (Reuters) - Two Democratic lawmakers who were expelled from the Tennessee legislature earlier this year after angering the Republican majority with a protest against gun violence won a special election on Thursday to serve out the remainder of their terms.

Justin Nelson and Justin Jones both beat Republican challengers to reclaim their seats, the Associated Press reported.

Republicans in the state's House of Representatives voted in April to expel the two lawmakers for breaking rules of decorum a by leading a protest inside the House chamber.

What are the odds that they are expelled again?
