The trad has already moved on to hiking which means it will soon be dead but gleefully pointing out five grammatical errors in two sentences, that are immediately by two similarly atrocious structured posts <=
Incorect! I’m just about to turn 58 as being so close to the end of 64. I identify as a boomer

    Incorrect?

It's exactly what I said. You ARE an X'r...

    ....you IDENTIFY as a boomer.

Back in the day when hand drafting was a thing, it was a cloth bag filled with eraser dust that you would sprinkle on your drawing so is would remove smudges and smears.

    Gen Z is beautiful/handsome
At least the three I am raising are.

The oldest two (girls) lean pretty liberal.

OP os a silly generalization if you ask me.

Thanks! I like your explanation better than my old man’s. He said it was a used condom.

Wonder what the line is on generalizations in this thread. Whatever it is, I'm taking the over.

A lot more Z's at my gym than X'ers (my gen), and almost all of the Z are actually fit where many of the X'ers are there probably based on a doctors warning/urging and are clearly not fit.

I know thats anecdotal, but it's a very large gym with 100's there at any given time.

I mean arent you sorta doing the same?
My kids love their phones, but my girls are both high level dancers and work out at extreme levels to maintain that level.. And my 12 year old son is very athletic and already works out a bit and will start hitting the gym hard with me at 13 in a few months.

I think both are true. They are more attached to their phones, but they are more health conscious than we Xers were at that age. I was in my 30's before I really took control my fitness.

All of that is true, but we also made gaming a lifestyle and a verb. We also made those smartphones become a thing. We were on Gator Country before my college freshman daughter was even born.

And btw. Skateboarding isnt really exercise. The board does the work. ;)

Many Z's arent legally old enough to have their own membership.

Many Xers and boomers are there because of health issues and a doctors urging.

Really not much to be gained from that article.

...and of course this little gem here, that seems to fly in the face of all of the above ^^^.

    So a generous serving of middle school posting--while you call me out for a single post worthy of a middle schooler;

    ...a spelling grammar error, while claim to have called out grammar (GP's are chicknshit imo; utterly worthless on a message board);

...and that's on top of the blantant LIE, where you expressly refuted me for daring to suggest that you too were X gen, while you declared youself a Boomer...then proceeded to out yourself as actually an X'r, and only a Boomer wanna be....

Perhaps you ought to "take a look in the mirror."
    .

All I said was that as an X'r, I wasn't impressed with their generation's health conciousness, while questioning the X'r what he found so impressive.

The 'nose in the phone' thing, is actaully a thing.

and fwiw, 3 of my kids are Gen Z, and the 2 boys are pretty athletic, all A's, well rounded.

I respect their gen, and usually take up for them--I'm just not impressed with their physical prowess, that's all.

Less reckless about their health and what the put into their bodies, sure, but really I was mostly questioning, and got a shrp blowback.

I was actually thinking SNOW boarding, when I typed skateboardking--not sure the latter is actually an Olympic sport.

    (Thinking Shawn White, among others).

Each generation has its own unique characteristics and strengths that can contribute to society in various ways. It is important to recognize and value the diversity of perspectives and experiences that each generation brings. Generation Z isn't an exception. Just accept it!

So you want him to tell you how he feels in his late 70's?

How about now? Maybe some of us want to feel young and healthy in our 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's etc.

I want to be able to still keep up with my son on the basketball court and my grandkids someday.

My guess is the 2 pack a day smoking routine would hamper that.

Taking care of ones self isnt about being alive for a long time...though it may help with that, bit It's really more about living WHILE you are alive... for quality of life, not quantity of years.
