So even with all those potentially great receivers, and the TE's room looking like a M.A.S.H. unit, we still have NOT added a 10 Personnel formation/scheme to offense? That has to be looked as a viable option moving forward to get more receivers on the field at one time.
We only have one proven WR in Pearsall, I hope those freshman WRs get into starting rotation soon. I don’t trust our starting Z and X.
We need to add more versatility to the offense. But we really do NOT know how good these new receivers are because they are stuck behind someone else in a 3 max receiver sets. That is far too limited even for a modern offense.
I agree but I would bet Coach finds more value in springing that on, say, Utah than showing all the fancy new razzle dazzle in a scrimmage.
If we can’t get an adequate qb to get them the ball, ten receivers won’t help. If we don’t add a starter at qb, we will be run heavy whether Napier likes it or not.
Lol... agreed. Let's hope we get one more one and done portal QB. Just in case we don't have the right guy on the team. We cannot afford one more losing season. And I do NOT have enough faith in the QBs we have right now. Right now, in the situation that we are in, we need one more portal QB.
I agree regarding QB....we need a real SEC quality QB. Even if he is not NFL material. Think what this offense could be with a Stephen Garcia or Wayne Peace or Doug Johnson. Hit the darn receivers! CBN is not playing some secret game in which the offense "holds back" in O&B game so Utah is in the dark. No, it's because the offense is not there. Remember, SOS showed the offenses in O&B game, had practices open with his belief, go ahead and know what we do, now good luck stopping it.
You know a good Qb when you see them. They instantly change the game. You knew the difference when to watched Trask versus Franks. I remember watching UF beat a highly ranked Ole Miss team and thinking we finally found our QB only for him to be suspended for illegal supplements/drug testing violations the next week. You could see when DW threw the ball. Not the strongest arm but always knew the D coverage, where to throw the ball and highly accurate.
Going into Utah C Waites will not be the #2 LT. Why 2 fold: one, he is not healthy and will not be ready to play; two, the blind side at UF is thee best big man in the trenches. The bowl game Waites struggled at Guard.
